Welcome back Loopylass - was reading the old weight thread the other day and was wondering where you had gone.

Well, the house has fallen through. We are gutted. All packed and nowhere to go. We are just sitting here looking at each other not knowing what to do. Trying to get somewhere arranged to go away for the weekend because we will go mad hanging around here all weekend.

Catch you all later, am in too bad a mood to think of anything constructive to say.

Oh Honey I am really sorry to hear about your house.

I am assuming from your previous posts that its the people you are buying from that have pulled out, as you mentioned they were getting impatient. If that is the case then they are being a bit silly as they will now have to put their house back on the market and resell it again which will probably take a while and if they had just held on it would have been ok.

Big hugs to you and your family, I hope you find somewhere nice to go this weekend.

Thanks Moira. They are putting the house back on the market - said we can buy it again when things are sorted but the price has gone up by £15000  They can shove it up their **se

Dont know if we will still sell, revalue, or stay where we are and extend. Heading away first thing tomorrow morning and staying overnight at a B&B - diet will probably go out the window but hey, I'm seriously pi55sed off! :rotfl:

Hope you all have a good weekend, will catch up later or on Sunday.

Typical - as if house prices aren't bad enough as it is... they have to go and raise the price! Won't do them too much good will it?

I just walked through our local High St and bumped into a few people (5 I think) I know. I think every single one commented on my weight loss and how well I looked. I am soooooo pleased.

That's fantastic Jen:T Just remember how that felt when you're tempted to stray from your plan
Then in peacocks I found some bikini's for £1 per piece that I have got for my hols at the end of Sept. Then in shoefayre a pair of shoes for my youngest daughter for £4.

Spoken like a true moneysaver :rotfl: *thinks - must go to peacocks tomorrow and see if I can pick up any bargains* I'd never go near a bikini following my c-section. Good for you for wearing them.
Off to a wedding tomorrow. Not sure what to expect for the meal, but no doubt as I'm veggie it will be with lots of cheese as that's what I usually end up with.

Have a great time tomorrow - relax and enjoy the wedding - and spend loads of time dancing (all that exercise is good for you !)

Ok, i'm writing up my SW friendly shopping list now and i'm putting various veg on there.

How do people feel about freezing veg (carrots and parsnips for example) once they've been peeled, chopped and par boiled then just heating them up/roasting them straight from the freezer?

Will i have soggy veg?

Hi Jen - I've only tried freezing fresh veg a couple of times, and to be honest it wasn't a great success. I haven't tried carrots or parsnips though. The idea is to freeze them as quickly as possible once they've cooled, so if your freezer has a fast-freeze tray, spread them out so there's as much space around them as possible and whack up the freezer setting for an hour or so, then bag them up.

Let us know how you get on.

Aw Honey - I'm so sorry to hear about the house. Nothing anyone says will make you feel better and I can sense the feeling of deflation in your family.

What's your motivation for moving? Do you need more space, or are you hoping to move upmarket? It may be worth reconsidering and staying put. If its space you need it might be worth investing in your existing house. The money and effort and upheaval of having an extension built could create an increase in value that's double what it costs or more.

All I can say about your vendors is that they can't have been in much of a hurry to move - putting it back on the market again means they're starting from scratch, whereas if they'd just been patient for a few more weeks, it would all have been done and dusted. You just can't fathom the logic sometimes.

Enjoy that bottle of wine - and have a great time this weekend.
