moiracm I'm not trying to be cheeky, but have you thought about what you need to do differently for the next two weeks to acheive your goal? Perhaps you should take half an hour and plan what you are going to eat over the next 7 days and make sure that you have in everything you need to keep going and nothing that will tempt you too much.Delly - I set a target of 7lb for the month and have lost 6, I'm pleased with that. I have 4 weigh ins for August and a 30th party in the middle so I am setting myself a target of 5lb this month.
Honey:T :T Well done on getting 6lbs off this month.... I'm sure you'll be able to make your 5lbs no problems. (just so long as you stay away from the turkish delight!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )1 stone 3lb is doable with SW.
Does that mean that if you have less than that to lose SW is difficult? Or takes longer
Well done Pug and Suggs - keep it going, we'll all get there in the end!Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
No base to the cheesecake, so yes, whole thing was FREE! Yippee!
Now all I need to do is to find out the finer details of the recipe....
BTW, I didn't do so many Mix2max days this week, I did really well and lost 2lbs last week on mostly Mix2max, so I am going to try it again!

Delly - nah your not being cheeky and actually I do plan for the whole week for all my meals including snacks but the problem for me is when the weather is hot I dont fancy cooking or eating the meals I have planned and thats where I fall down. In the winter months I am fine as I cook and eat what I plan hence why I lost a stone and a bit from Jan to April and then have been on a bit of an up/down since then.
I think my immediate plan is to stick to the plan over the next two weeks before I go on holiday and then try my hardest whilst away to keep the weight I have lost so far off. Hopefully when I get back from holiday we will be getting into the cooler weather again which means I will get right back on track again.0 -
I agree with you Moira. I find it harder to eat in the summer as I dont ever feel as hungry. I do find it easier to eat loads of fruit in the summer though cos its so lovely. I dont plan meals too well -I have a terrible memory and forget what I have planned (doh!) but in the summer it really does fall apart.
eg if the sun shines the BBQ comes out, whether it was bangers and mash planned or not!
Suggs - dont think I have ever gone on holiday and lost weight. Well done. Must have been all the *ahem* exercise :rotfl:
Delly - I think what they meant about doable is that you will find it easy to lose with SW. At my class there are people who have lost anwhere between a few pounds and 8 stone (our consultant) so its not restricted to certain weights. How are you finding it - easier or harder than WW?
PS. the turkish delight is still in the fridge :A0 -

Hi Dellybelly - well done for losing 2.5lbs this week :T I'm so pleased you had a good result.
In my opinion SW is THE best diet for people who have more than a stone or two to lose. Have I mentioned the woman who lost 19 stone doing SW? My slimming buddy and I lost 15 stone between us, and nearly every amazing weight loss you read about in the press is about someone who has followed SW - it works!

Much as i would have love to have lost 1lb last week - would you be able to amend for me. Thanks loads
L
Hi Lydia - sorry, I'm not having a very good week! Well done for losing 5lbs though, that's an excellent result - what did you do different?

Hi Honey,
SW is so simple it's stupid! I keep getting asked by the people I sit with at break times .. are you going to eat all that? They're amazed that I've been saying "if I feel like it!"
What makes it different is the "head stuff"... I've spent so long following various programmes and white knuckling it through temptation (failing more often that succeeding). I love the fact that if I have a poorly planned or high syn day, it's allowed! That in itself makes me want to continue.:j I've been eating so well, I never feel hungry and I'm still amazed that I'll be able to lose weight. (I virtually ran at the scales last tuesday - that's definitely a first!:rotfl: ) Especially since it's all carbs or food that required counting on other plans. For instance today, I've had cereal and fruit for breakfast, a mullerlight and fruit at a.m. teabreak, baked potato with beans and another mullerlight at lunch and melon and grapes at p.m. teabreak. Then I had spag bol for dinner and tried out lois's rice pudding recipie for my bad snack attacks (which normally happen on a Thursday, but guess what? Not today!:T I guess I just must be a greedy horse!
I'm not saying other plans don't work - they just didn't work for me. I'm hoping that SW will be the one I succeed on for life.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

Moiracm - without trying to sound really obvious, what about making up some meals in bulk and freezing them and then deciding what you'd like to eat each day? I usually have a bowl of salad in the fridge and have it with SW chips if I don't feel like making anything strenuous, or my staple quick meal... roasted mediterranian veg and chicken... very little effort and very little washing up!
I'm sure you'll do really well this week. Keep up the good work and check in with us if temptation is getting you down.

Honey, get the turkish delight into the freezer. That way even if you snap it'll be virtually impossible to eat it. I did it with a snickers bar and after i nearly ripped my face off trying to gnaw out the frozen caramel i gave up in disgust and actually threw it in the bin! Had what may be a bad day today thanks to work - was presenting sandwich concepts to a well known bakery chain and it's impossible to say tho the customer , no thanks, i'm on slimming world. I only had a little bit of them an as it's a red day I threw most of the bread away. I know how Sankeygirl feels, it's tough when work gets in th way.
Delly - well done! I'm so impressed, thats a real achievement0
