Rachel I am sure your first weigh in will be fine - its always the worst one but it does get easier and I am sure your class will be friendly and welcoming.

Suggs welcome back - glad you had a nice holiday

Jenpoptab - well done 15lb in 8 weeks that is great going.

Lois - hope you have a nice evening with your friends

Mrs yatsey - hope your weigh in went ok.

Delly - well done on your first weigh in with SW - congrats on only being 1/2lb of your first stone - I am sure you will get your stone next week.

Lydia - 5lb loss thats fantastic even if you did put on last week you still lost 3lb more than that which is so cool.

    Hi again everyone,

DS is in bed and I'm totally chilled out (just back from my yoga class).

Thanks for all the support and encouragement and advice this week, I couldn't have done it without your help.:T

I have to admit I'm finding this program really easy to follow and I don't feel a bit deprived. Even after a bad(ish) weekend because of failing to plan, I didn't do my usual and say Stuff it, I've blown it now I may as well continue. I actually took on board the stuff about the flexible syns and just forgot about it and moved on. It really is the key to keeping going. :j

Welcome back Suggs and well done Jenpoptab and Lydia42 (5lbs! that's amazing)
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

I was wondering how everyone had finally done in their monthly weightloss target. Mine was 8lbs and I lost 6 (pleased about that!).

I am now going to commit myself again to a weightloss target for this month.

For the 4 remaining weigh ins of this month I am setting myself the same target as last month..... 8lbs! Maybe with Slimming world's help I'll find it less stressful to achieve!

    Good luck this week everyone.

    PS ... well done Minerva!

    Hi,
Thanks to all those that encouraged me to go to the 1st weigh in at SW.
Went and it wasn't half a sbad as I thought. Need to lose 1st 3lbs to be at ideal weight range (top end!) - not too bad I suppose.
I'm quite motivated now and have just been to Tescos for diet supplies - will start in earnest tomorrow although I haven't been too bad today.

    Good luck to everyone else!
    Rachel.

I maintained!!! A bit gutted as I thought I had been very good (4 lots of exercise and only one bad day that wasn't very bad!). Oh well, it's that elusive 1/2 lb needed for my stone, one day I'll get there!! Got a bad week for slimming this week, 3 nights out, but I am hoping that I will find some will-power somewhere!
Well done Delly, Lydia & Minerva (and anyone else who is on an earlier page who I've forgotten!!!!)!!
Have a good week & Rachel - well done for going, 1st 3lbs is totally achievable with SW, enjoy yourself along the way!
Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A

Thanks for all the well dones guys. I have given up so many times, but am really trying to keep with it this time.

Mrs Yatesy - don't fret too much about the nights out this week. Enjoy them, just don't go too mad. Are you following SW or WW? Do you know where you are going for dinner? Maybe you could check out the menu's and decide before you go? That way you can plan your day around what you will have for dinner.
We had a pub lunch yesterday, but it's our local so i already knew what i was going to have. (I really wanted their lovely lasagne, but had told myself no - not today. I would normally buckle and go for it with fried potatoes and garlic bread too, but i asked my OH to order for me as i have no will power when i get to the bar!) :o Crisis avoided.

I'm really having trouble with meetings at the moment at work. Everyone has tea and coffee (i don't like either) and a big basket of biscuits. I would normally pick at them, especially as they have my favourites - butter shortbread.............homer simpson drool.........
I'm trying hard to pass them down the table, as they tend to stay there and i can't smell or reach them then. :rotfl:

Saving my syns for wine, and salt and vinegar walkers at the moment - my favourite. :D

Good luck this week, and everyone else too.
    What's he building in there???
Debt at highest £30,450 (Dec 05)
    Debt at lowest £9, 113 (Jul 07)
How much did we over spend whilst on maternity leave

Thanks Lydia, I've started taking bottles of water in to our meetings, and a bowl of lovely washed grapes. I too have the biscuit fetish! It's changed a lot of people though because there are usually biscuits left at the end, but there are never any grapes left now!
I think I'll eat before I go on Saturday as that is a party at someones house so it will be nibble central! Not good for me as I love nibbles! Friday I have pre-ordered just now, grilled red mullet on a bed of spinach (yum). Tonight I am at a Thai restaurant (I do SW) so I will just have a green day and have a lovely veggie stir fry and rice that I've had there before. Feeling more positive already! I am thinking of doing the success express for the remainder of the weekend and start of next week, to try to recover some ground and get the half pound off to get to my stone, at least!!! I must get my menu out from Janet (C31) and get everything planned and in the house, then I have half a hope of doing it!!
Well done on the pub choices - very impressive, I'd have wanted the garlic bread too, and probably some onion rings!
    xx
Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A
  • Well as anticipated yesterday was a total diet disaster:eek:. Luckily bmi werent providing any meals so at least I avoided the airline brekky (which sadly I love) but the client lunch involved an Italian where they obviously felt you needed feeding up:rolleyes: (Lois - I managed to avoid the fight with the client luckily:T :T !)

So I have a feeling that anybody who has clumsily lost any pounds this week (which actually sounds like most of you) - I will have found them all for you by Saturday:rotfl:

Well done to all you losers and please feel free to give me a massive kick up the back side which will hopefully launch me to Asda to buy the Davina dvd and large amount of salad:D

    SG xx
