I'd love to join the 2lb club but unfortunately I have PCOS and losing weight is particularly difficult as I am insulin resistant. If I could lose 2lb a month I'd be happy.
Can I still join to keep track of any losses?
What else do I need to do?
It's all new to me, sorry.
Also does anyone have any tips on dance/exercise dvds to get? I was thinking about the charlie brooks one and I'd also like to get into belly dancing but have no idea where to start.
At the moment my belly dances all on its own each time I move!:rotfl: "Light travels faster than sound, which is why some people appear bright until they speak":rotfl:0 -
Hi Catwoman - you dont have to join the 2lb club to join in here - you dont have to do anything just come on here for a chat, get advice, offer advice, look for motivation - the list is endless!
With regards to exercise dvd's I heard the Davina McCall one was good - its mentioned somewhere in either this thread or the lose weight 6 one.
Are you following a particualar slimming plan?0 -
Catwoman, someone on here (sorry I can't remember who you are) recommended the Davina McCall "three 30 minute workouts" to me, I've bought it and my word it's good! I found the first one too hard (It's all stretchy and star jumps and things, the stretchs hurt to slipping heck and my lady bumps are too large for serious jumping) I haven't been brave enough to try the third yet (it looks a bit easy for me to hurt my back more than it's already hurt) but the second one was fab for me really sweaty and bouncy and boxing and kicking etc! So I'd recommend that one! I think it has something for everyone, it is quite hard but it's meant to be so it gets easier as you get used to it/get fitter!
If anyone has any other recommendations I'd be happy to hear them, and Catwoman is you do try Charlie Brooks' one will you tell me what it like, thanks :-)
You might find Belly Dancing classes run by your local colleges or council, out local college has one but I don't think my belly could cope with it!
Congrats on being newlymarried (I won't mention anything about excercise being an occupational hazard for a newlywed... I meant all those romantic walks obviously!) I had to take my engagement ring back to the shop today the diamond was cracked so I won't have it for a couple of weeks while they fix it :-( At least I'll be a lot lighter on Monday without my 'huge rock' ;-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
hello, can you mums tell me what you are doing for exercise? I used to be able to walk my kids in the double buggy up and down the streets but now the 4-year-old likes to walk and he walks sooooooo slowly I can't possibly lose weight that way!
I have to go back to work in a month and can't get into my pre-second-baby trousers!
Help!0 -
Hi Frostyspice - How about a buggy board? That way your little one can walk part of the way and you can power walk the rest?0

Bought myself a Fry's turkish delight at the shops as a treat because I've had such a crappy day - looks like the whole house move may have fallen through - the people who we are buying off have given us a deadline - the problem isnt with us, its on down the chain and there isnt much I can do apart from constantly ring solicitors and estate agents. Anyway I digress.. A turkish delight is 9.5 syns  can you believe it - So much for low fat - i'll leave it thanks!!:rotfl:0

Hi folks
Well weigh in tonight and yipee I stayed the same I am so pleased.
So now a conncentrated effort for two weeks before I go on my proper holidays as I would really love to be in the next stone down bracket which is only 3.5 lbs away so is achieveble - not only that but it would mean that I had also achieved my club 10 which is a big psychological boost.
Good luck to everyone else for the forthcoming week0 -
Well Done Moira. I'm the same as you. 1lb would take me to the next stone bracket and 2lb would be below it if you know what I mean. Losing 2lb would take me to club 10 - I think! Its all very confusing.0
