Sounds like a good (if somewhat busy!) week.
    Enjoy it!!
  • Thanks for the advice to both honey28 and fritha.
I'm basically just following a healthy eating plan, cutting out junk food, chocolate(well mostly), crisps and fizzy drinks etc.
I have an airwalker which I use but although my fitness level is better my weight is the same so far and I get disheartened so quickly.
I shall have a look at the Davina dvd although I am very very unfit and it does sound rather energetic!

I like the Davina dvd too. I'm glad you're enjoying it Fritha - it's sort of fun to watch Davina have to sweat too isn't it!?

Honey - that is utterly rubbish about the house. Can't imagine how stressed things are for you and think you're a bit of a trooper for only having bought the turkish delight. I'd have eaten an entire black forest gateux by now if it was me. Hope things get sorted. Let us now how it unfolds!

Having a crap day myself. Boyfriend is away, i've got his car and we left mine at work. His car won't start.:mad:Public transport is so rubbish that I'll spend 1.5 hours on a bus then another hour or so walking (or expensive taxi) if i want to get to work today and i'm just not sure it's worth it. But then if i don't go in I can't retrive my car and I can't go to aerobics/weigh in.

Plus I got given some work to project manage yesterday (my first ever attempt at PMing so bit of a big deal for me) which I now can't start.

Actually it's worse than all that but am trying not to wallow in self pity (i know - I can whinge for england even when i'm trying to be restrained! :o).

Hope you all have a good day :)

PS Seeing as i've got nothing to do now i'll spend the day sending good vibes to you honey

Catwoman, the Davona dvd is good becuaseit's easy to wuss out of the really hard bits! You only have to do as much as you can and they soemtimes show you something else you can do if you just can't breathe! If it's too much just miss out some of the reps and do more once you're fitter! You'll prolly find on the first few watches you miss a few out anyway watching to see what you should be doing!

And Jen, yes, I really enjoy see Davina lookign all sweaty and exhausted! I still look pinker and sweatier than she does by a long way tho!

Honey, very best of luck with the house, I can't even imagine how horribly stressed you're feeling. Make yourself some SW chips and sit down with them muttering about the horrible people in the chain who are stuffing it up for everyone else. *sympathy*

Its quiet on here today. Where is everyone :confused:

I couldn't get on here last night, I thought the website must be down, but it can't have been. I tried several times and gave up in disgust in the end, much to the amusement of OH!

Sorry to hear about the problems with your house move. They say moving house is in the top three stressful life events, and I can definitely vouch for that. My horror story was when we relocated from one town to another, and the timing of the move was all tied into new jobs, moving at the right time for the children with GCSEs etc so we had to move by a certain date. Everything was going (too) smoothly, until our buyer pulled out at the 11th hour (at the point we were preparing to exchange contracts and 2 weeks before my daughter was due to start a new school to do A levels), meaning we had to pull out of our purchase and quickly find somewhere to rent instead.

I hope things get sorted out with your sale.
I'd love to join the 2lb club but unfortunately I have PCOS and losing weight is particularly difficult as I am insulin resistant. If I could lose 2lb a month I'd be happy.

Hi Catwoman, congratulations and welcome to the lose weight thread!

You don't have to lose 2lb a week to join the club - I'm happy to include you in the list as an incentive.

I named it the two pound weight loss club because there's also a two pound coin saving club on MSE so it's a take off of that. The 2 pounds can be your aim for a month - or a year if you want! :rotfl:
tomorrow I have a long work day involving a flight and a client lunch

Ha ha - I misread this and thought you were going to have a fight with a client :rotfl:

Hi Jenpoptab - you've done it! I'll add you on to next week's chart.
Hay! Lois! I looked at the chart with an open mouth... after trying so hard to diet this week- my 3lb loss is not even recorded! Posted on Saturday-top of page 28. Sorry! just feel out done! I know you try to please everyone...

    Sorry Julie -

I'll update it as soon as I can. I couldn't get on here last night or I would have picked up your message then and made the amendment.

    Hi,
After many failed promises and halfhearted attempts I am rejoining SW this evening. Not looking forward to the weigh in at all - feel massive, think it's at least a stone heavier than at Xmas.
I have a job that takes me away from home (often to weird countries and places where food is a real problem) for sometimes up to 2 weeks a month and this has contributed to my recent chubbiness!
I have done SW before and it did work for me - I'm a vegetarian so the green days are ideal.
Will post tomorrow or later tonight with the bad news! The only way is up (or down on the scales!!)

    Fingers crossed
    R.

hello, can you mums tell me what you are doing for exercise? I used to be able to walk my kids in the double buggy up and down the streets but now the 4-year-old likes to walk and he walks sooooooo slowly I can't possibly lose weight that way!

I have to go back to work in a month and can't get into my pre-second-baby trousers!

    Help!

Hi frosty spice I am just experiencing the same prob with my 2 year old who thinks that the pram is for 'babies' and is keen to stroll everywhere, which is great for his fitness but too slow to do much good for me, especially when we have to stop and look at every leaf, bug and crack in the pavement :rotfl:

I now have started playing chasing games with him, hide and seek and just generally running around in big open spaces e.g. the park to use my energy and increase my fitness. The other thing we do which he loves it to put on the Wiggles DVD or Tweenies songtime DVD and we dance around the living room together. He has huge giggles over this and its good fun plus burns a few cals.

I am also trying to do a 20 mins tone up from the rosemary conley Salsacise dvd which is in two sections of 10 mins each when putting him to bed in the evening being in two sections means I can put him down - do the first 10 mins go up and check on him and then come down and do the second set. By the time I have done both he has fallen asleep - also if he needs me in between I can pause the dvd run upstairs (continued exercise) and then sort him out and resume again.

Hope some of those ideas help.

Suggs, have a won-der-ful holiday - so jealous! My folks were in Dubai last year and loved it, I would love to go. And what lovely surprise for your GF with the upgrade. Any romantic proposals while you are away???? Enjoy the break and forget about the diet while you are away!

Got back from Dubai last night, was absolutely shattered!! But had a great time thanks. The jaw-dropping moment on the GF face when she was told we had a suite and she was handed the list of 'extras', was frankly priceless. We were right on the beach, with a huge 8foot bed and had a great time chilling, relaxing and wandering around. :j

I did venture into the gym and although air conditioned, it wasnt that well air conditioned :( Still it was 110 outside and around 80% humidity so I cant complain, we were sweating just walking around in the day. I did actually take off my t-shirt and go into the sea (big step for me!) it was sooooo warm :)

Shame I had to come back though :o will go and weigh myself in a couple of hours and once I have some more time, will read through to see what and how you guys have been doing.

Honey, hate to break your heart but no romantic proposal on this trip, but I did mention those three little words for the first time, and it takes alot for me to say those words. :)
