Well done on this week all (particularly to suggs and delly and others!).

I missed my weigh in on wednesday thanks to the car problems and have utterly fallen off the SW wagon. :( Am going to sit down and plan a menu based around the success express principles and eat the meals whether it's too hot to have the oven on or not (Moira, i keep avoiding meals in my plan that involve cooking too then end up eating more and more bread :o).

God, i hope i haven't put on too much and undone the good i've done. Must get back on the rails and stay on them. I may be moving to las vegas a few months before originally planned so i really want to get the weight off now rather than later!

Also have you noticed that Quorn Sausages are different? You get two varieties now, quorn bangers and cumberland style instead of the one, generic version.

Anyone know if the syn content is different?

PS Katie your job sounds very interesting!

Ths site is so fab as the support we give each other is great - I am glad that I am not the only one who falls of the rails during the summer months - mad isn't it as with all that lovely fresh fruit and salad around it should be so easy (and I do eat a lot of both). However, like like Jenittles and Honey even though I plan my meals and have stocks in the freezer I dont feel like eating it and then later you feel hungry and eat a couple of rounds of toast or a sandwich, cheese and crackers lol - roll on the winter

As a motivation yesterday when my little one was at Nursery and I was of work - yipee for school holidays - I cleared out a trunk of clothes that I no longer fit but have kept cause they are good and I still like them (some of which have never been worn lol). Anyway came across some size 12 knickers from a matching bra and knickers set I bought in a sale about 4 years ago (planned to slim into them but never did:mad: ) and I thought god they look tiny. Then I measured them against my current ones and WOW that was a wake up call.

Did the same with a pair of Jeans I used to wear about 9 years ago and couldnt beleive the difference. So I decided to hang both my size 12 jeans and my current ones up in my bedroom - hopefully that will inspire me to get back on track as I will look at them and think 'which ones would I rather be wearing???' What other motivational techniques are other adopting???

Kattiepoppycat: Loved the snickers idea - I did that with a Galaxy bar which I had for emergencies and nearly broke my tooth trying to eat it a couple of weeks ago so its still in the freezer as I didnt fancy having to pay dental charges to get a tooth repaired!!!!:rotfl:

thanks Jen, my job is interested but it's a real pain for trying to diet! I do a lot of product testing and sampling - fortunately it's cooked meats and not cakes so red days aren't too bad. I could spit it out (some do) but thats pretty gross. I also go away every weekend virtually doing medieval re-enactment so I'm trying to SW-ise my medieval menus at the moment! I'll post some recipes when i get there. There's a fab one for chickpeas roasted in the oven and then simmered in stock which i think could well be free on a green day.

I do the same with my jeans moira - I have virtually two complete wardrobes in different sizes so losing the weight for me would be like a huge shopping spree.:j

Ok, i'm writing up my SW friendly shopping list now and i'm putting various veg on there.

How do people feel about freezing veg (carrots and parsnips for example) once they've been peeled, chopped and par boiled then just heating them up/roasting them straight from the freezer?

Will i have soggy veg?

    Hi Guys

Hope everyone is having a good day.

I'm very happy today. I just walked through our local High St and bumped into a few people (5 I think) I know. I think every single one commented on my weight loss and how well I looked. I am soooooo pleased.

Then in peacocks I found some bikini's for £1 per piece that I have got for my hols at the end of Sept. Then in shoefayre a pair of shoes for my youngest daughter for £4.

Off to a wedding tomorrow. Not sure what to expect for the meal, but no doubt as I'm veggie it will be with lots of cheese as that's what I usually end up with.

Anyway good luck to all this week.

Lois, That is fantastic. You must be really reeping the benefits of the new, slimmer you. Well Done. :T

    Hi Honey - thank you.

I lost 6.5 stone, but unfortunately regained a couple of stone, however I'm still 4.5 stone lighter than I was five years ago, and I definitely feel much better for it.

I've had weight problems all my life - from early childhood - and as you can imagine, I've tried every diet there is going, and they all worked for a while, I'd lose a stone or two, but then I'd get bored or fed up with feeling deprived, stop following the diet, gain weight, then end up heavier each time - yoyo dieting.

SW was different. I didn't feel deprived. I didn't run out of 'allowed' food or points and go to bed feeling hungry - there's always something you can eat on SW. And it worked - I went from a size 24 to a size 16 and had the wonderful job of buying a whole new wardrobe.

Although I'm doing RC now, if anyone asks me to recommend a diet to them, I say Slimming World everytime - particularly if they have several stone to lose. My diet now is actually the RC version of SW - if that makes sense! What I try to do is follow the principles of SW, measuring things like potatoes, bread, meat, cheese, milk and limiting how much I have, and also eating smaller portion sizes so that my calorie intake is less. The other reason for doing RC is the exercise sessions - it's much better value for money than paying to just get weighed. I know SW and WW offer more than that with body imaging and talks, but I've heard it all before! And I get all the motivation I need from this thread - so thanks everyone. :)
