dellybelly wrote:Hi Guys,Can anyone tell me if the syn value on the lists online are per item or per pack? I looked up M&S muffins and it says 4 pk, 70gs each 14.5 syns:eek: ... would that be each? or for the full pack?
I'd say that was for each muffin - but the best thing to do is check the packaging to find out how much the total weight for the pack would be.Also, if you have a breaded chicken breast fillet (it's 9.5 syns on green) can you take the chicken as a heB and the 4.5 syns that you'd have to use on original or is it tough cookie... ?
Most healthy extras equate to 6 syns, so I would count the difference - so in this case, the total is 9.5 syns, so I would count it as one healthy extra plus 3.5 syns. That's how the consultant at my SW class told us to work it out - it would be interesting to know if Consultant31 agrees..

Thanks Lois,
I was worried I'd completely blown it today. I don't feel so bad now. Mind you it serves me right for not being better prepared!
Breakfast was usual cereal and milk (heA&B choice), but I went shopping with my mum this morning and ended up missing out on my fruit snacks so I was starving by the time I went to her house for lunch.(baby boiled potatoes, salad without dressing and low fat cheese). I just couldn't resist the muffin she'd bought in Marks but knew I'd be able to find out the syns online. If I'd have any idea it was 14.5 syns:eek: , I wouldn't have bothered.
My MIL had family up from the South this afternoon and that's why we ended up having the breaded chicken - again I was starving and hadn't planned ahead properly. It would have been ok if it was a normal day, 1heB and 3.5syns is pretty good! Still. I'm not going to let it wreck my first week at SW. I was finding it diffcult to eat my syns at the beginning of the week..... I'm not finding it so difficult now!:rotfl:Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Hi, Im new here & was wondering if I could join you all?
My name is Andrea & Im trying to lose my baby weight. Ive just being doing a low fat diet for the past 6 weeks or so. I was 10 stone 8lb & when weighed on monday, I was 10 stone.
Ive really felt like giving up this week & think I need a good kick up the bum!!0 -
8lb so far is pretty damn good going andrea - i bet you can see and feel the difference! Don't get disheartened, i'm new to this too and have found this board a real boost!
Quick question for all you SW bods out, there, apologies in advance for the content . . . . .
SW has completely changed my eating habits this week - i'm eating tons of stuff that i just didn't used to, particularly fruit and veg. And my, ah, digestive system, is really telling me about it in one way and another. Been thinking about getting a dog as blaming it on the goldfish is not cutting any ice with OH. Is this normal?!?!?!0 -

Thank you!I cant really notice a difference, but I must be getting slimmer as I managed to squeeze into my favourite jeans from 2003 the other day!
They are a little tighter than I remember, but I still got in them! Chuffed!

Congratulations Andrea! You're doing very well! 8 pounds in 6 weeks is really good. I wish my body was that responsive to a sensible diet.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0

Yes katie, it is normal. I was told another name for SW is Slimming Winds.
I suffer it in silence though...'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -
welcome Andrea - 8lb in that space of time is great - well done. If you start to lose heart come on here for a chat - we do kick up the bums too!
Katie - very normal - it eases a bit when your body gets used to the change in diet.0
