    Honey, I am here.
School summer fair this week, it's now over and dne with for another year so I can now give you all my wholehearted attention.
Haven't eaten much today, chips'n'cheese for dinner (but found mould on the cheese!) so didn't eat much. Tried to sit down for tea, didn't eat that either! Got home and had 3 tia marias - they can be my a's an b's today!!!!

Raised a good lot of money, just finished counting it and am off to bed.

See you all in the morning when I'll try to catch up on the posts.

(Honey, I wish I had been sunning myself!)

    Hi Guys,

Hello to all newbies to the thread, :hello: Well done to anyone who's lost weight this week. And I'm glad you're all still enjoying the sun. I'm totally depressed. Just looked on weather.com and we're forecast for showers for the next 10 days Bum!.

Glad you enjoyed the air show Jennitels. We don't have much like that over here and DS is a bit too young to enjoy it yet. I'm looking forward to when he gets up a bit and we can take him on those days out. (as much for me as him!).;) But not looking forward to fundraising for his school once he starts - you're a star Cheekymole:A

My week started off well but has ended in disaster once more.:wall: I've got the best motivation in the world but just can't seem to stick to it. Thursdays are my worst day usually. Think I need a kick up the bum!

Having said that, exercise this week included walking to work and spenidng hours helping my MIL clean her new house (it was bleugh! _pale_ ). I'm so glad I checked out the OS thread and discovered stardrops and microfibre cloths. It's saved us a pile of money on other cleaning products.:A

I've had a think about the ww thing and I really don't think it's going to work out. It's too easy for me to cheat myself and I really can't resist bicci's and sweets. Besides, I checked it out and it'll actually work out cheaper for me to join my local SW class than to pay my back fees in WW:eek: I was really successful at Rosemary Conley but that's been wound up in my area and I really miss it.

Any opinions or advice to give guys? I'd appreciate any answers and please be honest! I've only 6 weeks left till my holidays and I want to do something about it.

Right, back and arms are aching from all that cleaning. I'm off for a bath. Have a good weekend everyone. I'm back on the wagon tomorrow.

    Edel.

Well its been hot, its been hard and to show for it I lose the grand sum of 1lb :o

I suppose on balance I should be happy with that although I managed two big sessions in the Gym on Monday and Thursday evening, both times winning the the international wet Tshirt competition (again!) Tuesday I was at a team (work) night out and the beer flowed (till 2.30am) and the chinese was lovely.

So like I say and pound is a pound and I am happy with that, another pound by Wednesday before I fly out would be great, then I would aim to maintain till August 2nd.

I trust all you regulars and newbies are in fine form, well done to you all for your efforts, be it good bad or indiffernet. You are changing for the better and if it doesnt show this week, it will show the next!

Time for bed, my children are here for the weekend and one of them as been sick _pale_ poor thing.

Takre Care all, have a top weekend whatever your doing :p

    Delly,
I can thoroughly recommend SW - I reckon you would lose a good bit by the time your hols come round. I have never been charged for missing a class. Where in NI are you by the way?

Cheekymole - we missed you this week!

Suggs - you are right - a pound is a pound and its off - well done!

How would I go about adjusting my target downwards? My leader suggested not to as I would have to drop it by 7lb! ( I think she meant 3lb either way of whatever weight I choose ). I'm spot on my original target now, I was thinking of trying the 2-3lb under first to see how I feel. Obviously, I don't want to be 7lb under, or skinny, or do you think I should just stick to my original of 9 4.5 and then drop to 9 1.5. I'm 5 foot 5 and it has to be realistic for me to maintain, I definitely do not want to be below 9 stone as I would look ill. Thanks for any advice.

I don't want to give myself too much rope to hang myself, three pounds above target is too much, 3 lb below is about right.

Went to Next sale today. Nothing fitted, the 10 was too big and the 8 was too small! The sizes are really erratic, usually I can pick mine up and know it will fit.

your consultant is right, if you want to set a new target it has to be at least 7lbs different to your original target. You can, as you say, be within 3lbs of your target and still not pay at class but at soon as you venture out of that range you will need to pay class fees until you reach the 7lb less than your original target.
    Now my idea is....

... if you get to 3lb less than your target (still within range) then don't go to class until you are another 4lb lighter, declare target again then you won't have to pay but can C31 confirm that this can be done!!!!

    just to add for Fox

I think that you weight now is perfect for your height. Lose another couple to get under your target so you always have a few pounds to play with is my advice.
I thought the same as you but then everyone was telling me how well and healthy I looked so decided to stay put and yes I am happy

  • Helloe everyone,

After some advice really, I was a slimming world home member in 1999 and lost over 5 stone in a year, since then I've had 3 kids and now well hte weight has crept back.

I bought the new slimming world booklets and joined as a at home member in early 2005 so I still have them. Since then I had another baby so haven;t lost any weight yet.

Now I am feeling motivated and the wee one ahs started to sleep through, I wanted to get back to it.

Whats changed, will my old books be too out of date, anything major changed in free foods, anything that was free that now isn't?

    any help appreciated.

    Hi Honey,

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll give it my best shot. Class is on Tuesday at 6. Do you know if it'll be ok to bring DS? If not, I can arrange for his grandmother to keep him for an extra couple of hours.

I'm from the Maiden City..... London/Derry.
