No idea where the excitable smiley came from in that last post - the word he's almost obliterated was 'tuck' :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0

I did it on my own.
I eat fruit during the day.
Veg and a bit of meat for main meal (I have grilled turkey alot) (and cook extra veg to pick at later).
Then supper either nothing if not starvin or fruit/veg.
Every three days I get a mad meat craving. So I keep some weightwatchers frozen meals in. If I really get greedy I might eat 2 or three of them (I'm a night eater) but these still only add up to about 700cals.
Cheers
Gillette, it seems to me that you are denying yourself an awful lot of stuff which you obviously like. There's no need to. You can still lose weight and eat nice things. I don't want to rain on your parade, because you must look and feel fantastic, but when you lose weight so quickly, there can often be a tendency to regain it almost as quickly because you cannot maintain that level of self-denial for ever.
The WW meals are fairly low-cal it's true, but they are often loaded with fat, sugar and preservatives. I don't think you are greedy wanting 2, cos they're not very filling (I could eat 2 as well, lol). A more healthy choice for your 'mad meat cravings' would be to buy a ready cooked chicken and eat it all (or of course, cook your own). This is free food for us SW'ers and we can still lose weight regularly.
Eating lots of fruit is great, but you shouldn't be cutting out whole food groups. The correct proportions for a healthy diet are one third fruit and veg, one third bread, cereals and potatoes and the other third made up of small amounts of foods containing fat or sugar.
I don't mean to lecture you but I've been where you are (not so much lost, mine was 3 stone over 3 months). I felt great at the time, but a year later I had put all of it back plus another stone. This time I've done it slower, allowing myself to learn new, healthier eating habits, which I hope will last me a lifetime.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Oh bum! Sorry, missed out the meat, fish and dairy foods which should make up the last third along with the fatty & sugary stuff. The daily dieting plate should be like this :-I let my mind wander and it never came back!0

I am generalising with how I've done it.
I am avoiding stuff I used to like true but I enjoy everything I eat.
I realise there is a phase 2 to this when I get down to my desired weight.
I did this 10 years ago and kept if off for three years.
Only my father's cancer fight/loss drove me back to my bad ways.
(I have phycological (SP) probs with food).
I won't make the same mistake again.
Thanks for your thoughts.Girls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.
I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else0 -
OOh what a lovely diet this sw is. First weigh in tonight - 4.5lb yipee. Now week three seems to be a turning point for me for some reason so must get through it this time and keep going!
Consultant31 --please do you know how many sprays of fry light you can get away with and still keep it free..don't suppose you can deep fry in it tho?0 -
Hi everyone
You all sound a friendly bunch and I wondered if I could crash the party and join the alternative 2 pound club. Decided today after months of procrastination that my new healthy eating regime starts now. In the past I have lost weight with WW (almost 4 stone to take me to target) but since baby number 3 (now 2 and a quarter) this has gradually crept back on.
The local WW classes don't fit around my commitments now but I feel I am one of those people who do need the proverbial kick up the bum. Thought that since I am on MSE so frequently (keeps my hand out of the biscuit tin) this thread would be ideal.
Had a pretty good day today but tomorrow I need to unearth my WW points stuff and start writing down what I have eaten. This always works for me. Am aiming to lose 3 stone by New Year - Oops I've said it now!0 -

It's free, so you can use as much as you like (though no taking the top off and pouring it out, lol)
Congrats on the 4½ lbs, that's brill! Week 3 is a bit of a 'b' for lots of people. I think it's when your body is making it's adjustment to the new amounts/types of food going in. Whatever it is, don't panic, it'll all sort itself by week 4 :TI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Hi and welcome. We are a friendly bunch (I believe) and kicks up the bum come as standard. New Year, here we come :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi Busymumof3 and WELCOME!
There are a few ww-ers on this thread who I'm sure will be along soon to offer some pearls of wisdom. Shout if you need any help and more importantly , good luck! There's always some on to chat to, if it means avoiding the biscuit tin then some on here for a chat or for some motivation. (Cheekymole is well know for kicks up the backside so if you need one give her a shout :rotfl:)
Phoebe - 4.5lb :T :T :T :T :T :T Dont let week 3 undo all your hard work - keep using your food diary and treat it as week 1.0 -
Consultant - that mix2match sounds good. I think I will do it at the weekend (weigh in Monday). Thanks for that.
Where's cheekymole this week - sunning herself in the garden??0
