Honey, the first time round I was a half pounder too. My consultant has a pound of lard on the table for everyone to poke. Think of the alternative, for me that was gain more weight or eat less, no way was I going to do either. Things have been faster this time, I exercise more, keep low syn and try new recipes every week. Have you tried the curry? It's lush. Stick with it, they all add up, you know.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0

A big thank you to you all for the words of encourgement. I'm sorry now that I sulked last night and didnt come on.
I had a great day at the beach with my friend and all our kids - 5! It was roasting, [STRIKE]we [/STRIKE]they played in the sand, make sandcastles, played in the sea and then at the paddling pools. Where do they get their energy
To top it all off we had sausages and chips for tea, al fresco. I nibbled at DD's but hey, I deserve it!! I had a plum too - just to make me feel less guilty :rotfl:
I'm not going to give up, I'm back on track now after my little grease feast - to be honest it was nice, but not as nice as SW chips and I do feel a bit queasy now.
Fritha - I had lost a stone then put some (3-4lb) back on while I was on/just back from my holiday in May. I'd like to lose another stone. I do feel a lot better for losing it although at the minute I feel very bloated - when I had lost 12lb the last time round I felt like a stick insect (which, trust me I ain't :rotfl: ). I'm off into the kitchen now to find something that weighs 1/2 a pound to compare. Talking of exercise, I have been thinking about getting a small trampette for myself - is this something that you could think of? Its meant to be a great form of exercise.
I really needed to go shopping this afternoon for some food - the cupboards really are bare. The beach sounded like a better idea though. I plan to eat as many of the speed foods that I can this week and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks again for the words of encouragement. Very much appreciated.0 -
Glad you're feeling better Hon.
I always feel queasy after greasy food and tend to spend the next few hours on the toilet (!)I haven't got one!0 -
Hi everyone - I hope you haven't all faded away in this heat.
Honey - I'm not going to repeat what everyone else has said, but what I will say is that your problem could very well be the hot weather.
At the weekend I decided I would start using my RC weigh in result for the 2 pound weight loss chart (proper scales!), and I had a 3 pound loss this week. We went out for the day on Sunday, had two meals out and I treated myself to an ice cream but I didn't go overboard. Anyway, according to my home scales this morning, I've gained 3 pounds!
I feel really bloated too, my ankles are like balloons, and it's star week, so I imagine all the water I'm drinking is being stored in my body to counteract the heat, or something.
It is really annoying when you do the right things and it just doesn't work - makes me want to stuff my face with all the bad things I [STRIKE]go without[/STRIKE] choose not to eat, but if I did I'd just want to kick myself for sabotaging the good work I have done. We can be very hard on ourselves, when what we need to do occasionally is give ourselves a pat on the pack.
Everyone - put your hand out in front of you, cross it over your body to the back of the opposite shoulder, and pat. Repeat after me - well done!

I know honey, I suffer from IBS - I just didn't want to be reminded of how I suffer!.... not so much with greasy food though.... of all things ... onions are really playing me up at the minute. Probably because they're really strong.

Hi there, have been trying to be good this week (cos its my first at SW). Just hoping somethings coming off, seem to be eating all the time, certainly never feeling hungry. Can anyone tell me pls how many sprays of the fry lite you're allowed for it still to be free? Trying not to get trigger happy!0

Well folks 1/2 a pund on this week
think its just getting me back for being so naughty last week so I am not surprised. Plus I did have my slip at the weekend so hey ho. No weigh in for me next week as I am off on a last minute holiday with friends so have two weeks to loose that 1/2 pound plus I would like to lose another 2 at least to get my club 10 which I have been striving for since January.
Well done to the losers amongst us, and better luck next week to those who have gained or stayed the same.
This hot weather is affecting a lot of people as most of the regulars at my club have either stayed the same or gained.0 -

I'm ok thanks Delly - a bit cheesed off yday and earlier but in much better mood today after spending the afternoon at the beach with kids, friend +her kids.
My tummy is really iffy after the chips though
Phoebe - I'm not sure about there being a limit for the fry light to be free - I tend to be trigger happy too with my chips. I hadnt thought it mattered - maybe I'm wrongIt sounds like you are doing the right thing - eating all the time and never feeling hungry - when is your first weigh in??
Moira - I agree about the weather - i think it makes us feel heavy. Pity about the gain but great news about the last minute holiday - where are you off to??0
