:hello: everybody!
I'm new to thisthread, but well done to all of you, you're all doing fab!
I'm trying to decide whether or not to join eDiets, is anyone here a member?
Suzie xIf you have good thoughts, they'll shine out of your face like sunbeams & you'll always look lovely.0 -
:hello: Hi Everyone,
Well, I had another thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Needless to say the diet went out the window again. I was good at my friend's bbq on Friday :A I mostly ate salad and fruit. I had one burger but knew that was allowed!
Last night was mummy's night off and Dellybelly's night out! OH was on night shift and DS was being minded all night by SIL so I went out for tea with a friend. I knew it was happening and managed to save quite a few points but my IBS is playing me up something rotten this week and I feel fat and bloated. I do have scales in my own bathroom but rarely go near them. This time I'm too scared to even check.
I've been reviewing whether or not I should be on the No Count or Full Choice Programme with WW. I think I might switch on Tuesday following my WI on Monday night to the No Count - it's a lot stricter but I think I need it. Is there any other WW out there currently doing the No Count?
Ohh, I'm so rude....Welcome all new members to the lose weight thread. Well done everyone on an 100% week.
Good Luck tomorrow, Honey28.. I'm sure you'll be fine
Minerva, a hot stone massage sounds wonderful.!
Cathys1 I'm so jealous about your smaller size but I'm really happy for you too - well done, that's fantastic motivation to keep going!:j
I'm celebrating every 1lb I lose by putting in £1 in a jar and saving it for new clothes. OH say's he'll double it when I get to target. I went window shopping round town today to boost my motivation. I saw some beautiful clothes but don't want to buy anything too expensive until I have a bit more weight off, so it's New Look, Tesco and Primark for me !
Where is everyone else's favourite clothes shop?Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -

I like Next and especially now I can get in the Petite range it makes a massive difference to not have to turn up trousers etc as I am only 5 foot tall
I agree with the sentiment about not spending too much on clothes mid weight loss but I need to be smart in my job as I am customer facing and most of my suits are miles too big now:o
I just had one made smaller, it had hardly been worn as it was my newest one and it looks great so I might be taking some more to the lady who did it for me. It was cheaper than buying a new suit anyway and I have a really important meeting next week which I want to look good for;)
Don't worry too much about your wild night out one bad day doesn't always mean no weight loss, just get back on track and hopefully you will be OK. The great thing about WW or SW is you know it works and if you fall off the wagon you can get back on. I had a bacon butty with Warburtons Toastie white this morning  ( 10 syns just for the bread, good job you can't see this can of lager on the table LOL)0 -
Im off to the docs tomoro afternoon to see how much weight i have lost(or probably gained) this month.
i see my gp monthly, i dont have scales of my own. i sometimes use the local boots and or local swimming pool but the weights seemed to be quite inconsistent so ive been seeing my gp monthly. If i have gained it will be the first gain this year. last month i stayed the same and since jan i've lost just over the stone.
i'm aiming for 2stone for christmas but my first target is a stone for my hol which is in october.
im using slimming world, but i cant remember the new password(if anyone has it i'd be grateful). just bought the new mag and back from tesco with my huge fruit bowl and fridge full of salad things.
here's hoping im back on track and tomoro i dont have a huge gain.

Hi Susieq - welcome :hello: Someone talked about ediets recently - can't remember who though. I'm sure they will be along later. Have you much to lose?
Good luck tomorrow Jax.
Delly - thats a good idea about the £1 in the jar. I may take up that idea - what do I do if i put on though - Do I have to put in double as punishment :rotfl:
Moo - i think I am suffering the same as you - I have been doing a lot or red days on SW this week and havent been to the loo much IYKWIMIt would explain my bloated feeling
I often find pure orange juice helps - or plenty of fruit.

Hi
My favourite shop is Next too - but I try and wait to buy in their sales, unless I really like something. The clothes I bought this weekend were all bargain buys - the jacket was £30 reduced to £7 in New look, the skirt from there too was a special buy at £12. My trousers were £18 reduced to £9! (from Tescos) I like some of primarks t shirts - the tight fitting ones. Bought about 7 of them this season at £3 a go!:money:
While i'm on, I'm tring to fight syns online - I can never find the products I'm looking for! Can anyone help with a couple of items? Calippo - strawberry and tropical flavour? Monkey nuts (I have a craving for them at the moment - but am resisting until I know the damage!) and the tiny fairy cakes that the kids make? Been banging my head against a brick wall while trying to calculate how stict I need to be with my syns the rest of the week until weigh in!!!!!
Made the tiffee muller light and quark and bashed up Malteser pud - YUM YUM!0 -

Lois_Lane wrote:Hi Suggs - well done for losing another 3lbs! Isn't it funny how it's almost an accepted part of life that celebrating equates to going down the pub for a few pints, so when the aim is to lose weight, that's the last thing you want to do. There were a couple of suggestions - a syn free curry, a day off the gym, but I'd be interested to know how you did decide to celebrate?
What do other people do to celebrate their successes?
It's important to remember what an achievement losing weight is, and what gets praised gets repeated...

Lois, Thanks to you also for those words. Now is answer to your question and as you guessed I didnt go outI went to the kebab shop and had a chicken kebab  I know alot of you maybe be tutting at me, but it was grilled chicken, loads of salad, chilli sauce and it was LOVELY :rotfl:
I am a firm believer in treating yourself everynow and then, it helps to keep me going and probably makes me ensure I go back in the gym tooTo me its all about trying hard to striking the balance, not that for one moment I would ever suggest I am perfect and never have a wobble or two. All I do is to try my best and keep going
