If you are doing SW are you aware that a lot of the HE have changed? If you are still stuck on SW eat more free food and jig around your B choices, I was stuck for 3 weeks, but I lost last week. If you are near target your loss slows right down. If you are not near target you need to weigh your HE. It's worth noting that your weight can vary from day to day so don't be disheartened.

I have 2 slices of nimble wholemeal and 2 weetabix as my HE (B) and my milk allowance is my HE (A). on the days that I dont have bread I often have a Hifi bar as my other B.

Hi, you need to vary it a little. Try all bran! Are you eating enough free food? I eat all the time! Have you tried the speed food? Are you eating any free food which is now sinned e.g. cooked cous cous cake? etc.

I do vary it - I rarely have bread. breakfast can be porridge/bran flakes/weetabix/fruit. The odd time I have toast.
This week in particular I have eaten a bucket load - OH always comments that I am always eating - I have eaten loads of fruit this week too- something I usually dont eat enough of. My first ever week of SW I remember eating this much and I lost 4lb. I have been on (and off) SW since January and to be honest havent been as good as I have this week - since my joining week. Oh well, guess I will leave it to MOnday night
Incidently, I normally follow green days, over the past week or 2 I have started having red days - would this make a difference? I always thought weight loss was quicker on red days - Consultant may be able to help with this??

Some people are better on greens or reds. A lady at my class lost 5 stone on greens but gained for two weeks on red. You're not at weigh in yet, so don't panic, show your food diary to your consultant.

The only other thing I can think of is that something you eat regualrly might have changed it's synn value- this happened to me. The curry I always eat jumped in syn value and my weight stuck.

Do an advanced post and put FAO in the heading! Good luck. I make it a policy not to weigh myself between meetings. Once I gained 3 lb midweek but still lost at weigh-in. Are you sure it's not just your scales?

Hi I am really new to mse but have loved all the tips everybody gives its great. Ive tried a few times to continue with SW but am struggling alot. I have recently found out about this new diet Lighter life, it looks to be all sachets of shakes and soups and its supposed to be very low calorie but the results seem to good to be true, claims such as 3 stone in 3 months.

also its seems really expensive wouldnt mind if it def worked

I wonder if anybody out there has tried it and can give me some feedback ?

    thanks

Hi Huggybunny welcome to the thread and to MSE.

I haven't tried Lighterlife myself although I once did the Cambridge diet years ago and I think it's similar. The trouble with really low calorie diets and not eating real food is that it's so easy to put on what you lost and it's impossible to live in the real world of food and temptation because you don't make new habits.

Why don't you tell us how you are struggling with SW? we might be able to offer some help and advice.;)

Sorry Huggybunny - I missed you during my last posts - how rude.
Welcome to the lose weight thread. You will find plenty of support and motivation here, along with recipe ideas, meal suggestions.

As nearlyrich said - why not let us know the problems you are having with SW. There are a good few on here who are following SW and we have the added bonus of an excellent SW consultant who also posts. Amongst us we should be able to help ;)

I really only nipped on to tell you all that I had made the SW syn free curry sauce and it is absolutely yummy. I am on a red day so fried up (in fry light) a huge chicken breast and added some peppers, mushrooms and more onion. Its sooooo good! Off to eat the rest!

    Hello everyone

just a small rant at myself really as I've had a bit of wobble today, friends i haven't seen for ages invited me for a chinese, i refused, said I'd meet them afterwards for a drink instead. Just didn't have the points to spare at such short notice, also its a bit too early on for me to be able to confidently say I could resist all the extras.

I'm ashamed to say I had a mini strop (alone thankfully), self pity, blah blah why can't i do this that and the other, its not fair etc etc :rotfl:

Anyway, had my tea now and realised I have quite a few spares so will be able to have a few beers this evening.

Anyway, wobble has passed ! Really helps reading how others are getting on - keep ot up everyone, resist the wobble!

Also, just wondering if anyone finds their skin changes on the diets like WW or SW or others, I have really bad acne but to be honest I haven't seen that much change as yet (5 and half weeks), literally woke up this morning with three boil size monsters on my chin (i am not exagerrating), which are going to be nightmare to cover up lol!
