hi,
just catching up on all the postings ... i think it keeps me on the straight and narrow (well almost!).
i'm sitting in the kitchen while my curry is cooking & it smells fanasticeven the BF reckons it might be 'ok'.
i'm making lamb rogan josh (with the curry sauce you guys advised ... just added some lamb & used rogan josh curry powder). i'm also making my own bombay potato ... think i'm in heaven
it will be 2.5points for the lamb curry & 3points for the bombay pots so am very pleased with myself ... much less than the takeaway offered earlier this week by well meaning BF !!
have a fab friday night all ... i intend to, i'm using all the points i've saved this week on the bottle of wine in the fridge ... cheers :beer:0 -
I've been to an all day training session today along with a whole load of other consultants. We've all got to attend over the next week or two in preparation for a new system of keeping the weight records using a PDA. I'm not good with change and I'm even less good with technology, so as you can imagine, today has been rather stressful
Congrats to all the losers, and, well, was going to put good luck to anyone who's struggling, but it's not down to luck is it? We all have choices to make in all aspects of our lives and losing weight's no different. It's not down to will power, it's more choice power.......e.g. the doughnut or the banana. If you make an informed choice and have the doughnut, that's fine, there should be no guilt attached, and therefore no real damage to your diet. The damage starts when you take the doughnut without thinking it through and then, two minutes later, when it's eaten, the guilt sets in, you call yourself a failure, and a spiral of over-eating and depression begins. One of my favourite sayings is:- Failure isn't when you fall, it's when you stay down. And, success isn't never falling, it's getting up again and again!!
Gosh, got my profound head on :rotfl:
Well I'm off for a bath and an early bed-time - it's been a long day.
Have a good weekend everyone.
PS, Honey feeling lighter is often no indication of how well you've done. I'm sure you'll get a lovely surprise on weigh-day, hang in there and see! Enjoy the curry, and why not make some syn free bhajis to go with it?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Thanks consultant, I just might!
My SW consultant wasnt there this week (Monday) as she was over training. Apparently she is there this week coming too - she tells us all about the canteen in SW HQ - wish my works canteen was like that!!
Enjoy your bath and early night. I'm sure after a few weeks of the new system you will wonder what all the worry was about - failing that - get a techie helper on your social committee :rotfl:0 -

I've been drinking water like its going out of fashion this week -sometimes I dilute it with the teeniest drop of sugar free squash. Consequently I am running constantly to the loo! :rotfl: Am I best to stop this on weigh in day?0

Hello!
Well, so far I have lost 9lbs in 4 weeks, very pleased!
I have been alterating red and green days, which seems to be working so far!
Today I made Tandoori Chicken for dinner, had it just with salad, (as had used all my Health Extras on bread). It was very tasty.
Tomorrow I am making lamb, spinach and potatoe curry!
SW has made me cook, no bad thing and the money I am saving on the chippy pays for the extra fruit and veg.

Apparently it takes no more than an hour for water to get through the digestive system, but I always err on the side of caution by restricting my fluid intake for up to 3 hours before a weigh in (I don't cut it out altogether, just cut down). My SW buddy used to stop drinking altogether at 2pm, and we didn't get weighed until 7!
