Lost 9lb's in 3 days, but I am suffering at the moment. Every time I eat I just wanna be ill. I have no appetite.

    Still, not gonna knock 9lb's!

    Hi Everyone,

I'm sure you noticed I came back from hols and went away again really quickly.. OH tried to upgrade the p.c. and F.U.B.A.R. ed it instead so I was suffering from MSE withdrawal.

I finally made it to my sw weigh in on Tuesday night... and, I've put on 5lbs in the past 3 weeks... considering I wasn't following a plan I though I did rather well (is the see food plan really a plan?) - so total weigh loss is 10.5lbs Lois.

Had a good day one today - I was determined not to sabotage myself on my first day but still have syns left. Might make myself a wee smackerel of something nice before bed.

It's good to be back online again. Welcome newbies to the thread, you'll get great support. Hard luck to anyone who has put on and well done to those who have maintained or lost.

Suggs - will you be my daddy too! :rotfl: you're very good to your son....

Good luck Lois with the refocusing of your efforts. You've been such a great support to everyone else here....

And for those of you who remember (or are interested) the standoff is still ongoing with MIL. DS is starting nursery on Monday and I couldn't be happier!

Eels lol - that sounds like a really good plan. I'd do the same myself to give this week a real kick start but OH is on night shift..... guess I'll just have to wait for saturday night!
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Just recently signed up to MSE forums after much time lurking! Thought id pop in here and say hello as this is definately something im trying to achieve at the moment! :j

Recently went on holiday and probably ate half my own body weight most nights! I've also just finished university and 3 years of drinking have taken their toll on my mid section

When i came back from my holiday i weighed in at 109.4kg (241lbs), a touch on the heavy side for a 6ft bloke :P In the past 3 weeks ive managed to get that down to 104.9kg (231lbs) :D:D My aim is to get down to about 14stone so 196lbs. Only 35 to go!

The first thing ive done is cut down on the alcohol consumption. I think ive had 2 pints in 3 weeks, which is basically cold turkey for a student :rotfl:

Will keep popping in and reporting on any loss!

Good to see such an encouraging bunch of people, hope i can fit in well ;) (madness goes down well here...right?:rotfl: )

Welcome Benjie I am sure you will find this board inspirational I certainly do. I am sure the other ladies will welcome you too and don't worry there is one bloke Suggs on here.

I am really busy at the moment so this is just a quick post, seems to be working all the time and struggling a bit on the diet. Had to have a cookie at the service station yesterday, so so bad. Have cut down on the old white wine so fingers crossed. Take care will get back to normal soon.

Thanks for your input to my menu all.

I did only end up having one HEB (the cheese) and 2 HEA (milk!) which is pretty bad for me. Will 'force myself' :D to consume a Hifi bar next time I do the Success express days!

Can't believe I forgot to have all my HEs - very unlike me!

Nice to see you've back to the side of Jedi Lois! and nice to see Jen back too . . . .

managed to get away with just a 0.2kg gain this week - i deserved more really, Determined to getback on track this week and doing well. Does anyone know if sweet potatoes can be a HEB on red? and i found a new treat this week - cadbury's melts. 8 little bars in the box and the hazelnut ones are 3.5 syns each. They are gorgeous and a nice little treat, especially if you let them melt in your mouth. mmmmmmm, chocolate

Hello  can I join in please? I'm not really comfortable with the idea of a full on eating plan but I've put on a fair amount of weight recently and want to either lose it or at the very least not put any more on :o I am going to try as far as possible to stick to the principles of SW but don't hold out too much hope (especially as my brekky this morning was a small slice of HM cake - better than having brekky then having the cake anyway though isn't it?) I don't get as much time on the computer as I'd like but I'll pop in when I can and post any gains / losses once a week.

 to Mariel and Benjie I hope you enjoy being with us, you're very welcome.

Welcome back Delly, we've missed you ;)

KatiePC off the top of my head I would have said you'd be allowed sweet potato as a HEB, but I checked and you can't I'm afraid (sorry). I must say though that the choccy melts sound very nice - too nice, since if it's in the house I'll eat it and even at 3½ syns each it wouldn't look good to eat a packet :o

    Teepee How was the weigh-in?

Eels Hope you enjoy your slow-cooker casserole, I've just got one cracking too. I like your idea for stopping the calories going to the hips, you could market that :rotfl:

There seems to be a bit of struggling going on just now, what's happened to the inspiration and motivation?? It's only about 11 weeks to Christmas, so fingers need to be pulled out if we're going to fit into the "little black dress" or smart suit (for the fellas).

If you get 5 minutes in a busy schedule, try visualising yourself in that dress at a party - close your eyes: what do you look like? What are you doing? What are you going to eat and drink? How do you feel?
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I meant to say in my last post I have clipped on my freebie all-bran pedometer and was very impressed to see that the walk to school and back is just over 2,200 steps! Very impressed. I have now done 4,275 which isn't bad. How many should I be aiming for?

I believe the minimum recommended for adults is about 10000 steps a day.
