    Hi all

Quiet day here for me, almost bored senseless :( How do you cope with the boredom?

Welcome MissMoneyPenny, As someone whose BMI is still in the 40's  I wouldnt hold to much about BMI at the moment, the aim initally is to gain control and improve fitness, that way the weight will go and you will see improvements, and the BMI will start to change for the better. Some of this group are going great guns at the moment with regards to the BMI and I admire them for it :) Im sure you will get plenty of help. Will you be using a tape measure as well to measure any improvements?

Is this mix and match like pick and mix? :j i wish!

Hope your feeling better moiracm, did the early night help at all? Thanks for your hints with my son, I have ordered it all today, I decided to get the bits for him and Christmas can wait for the nano/DS whatever is the hint for then :o His sisters are already hinting, the eldest has her birthday 5th Jan :o
Eels that 3lb should be coming off soon and then how great will you feel? I have 1lb to go to fall through the barrier, :j I was slightly gutted when the scales said I was bang on :(
Honey, should be finished with the oxygen tent for 6 o'clock is that ok?
I wonder Rachelmk if you got any funny looks in the restaurant with your chanting? :rotfl: more importantly, did it work??

Right back to the email grindstone I go. Hope all ok in your worlds :D

Maintain for me this week :(

i've been 100% perfect all week, and as I have 9 stone to lose I thought I would lose a couple of pounds as i am still to lose my first stone.

However, I guess the night out I had on Monday scuppered it. I went to a friends for dinner and although we had vegetable lasagne and salad (I was on a Green day and felt very virtuous)...there were crisps and dips to start, copious amounts of garlic bread, Eton Mess (double cream, strawberries and crushed meringue)......and it was washed down with a bottle of white wine.......oops.......

I've just finished 2 success express days myself. I'm a weird case because I don't eat meat (or do red days clearly!) but my menu for the last two days (same both days for ease) has been

Breakfast: Banana, apple and muller light (all superfree)

Lunch: Small jacket potato (free on green) with loads of salad (superfree) and cheese (as HE).

Dinner: Shepherd's pie made with quorn mince and veg. The veg and quorn are superfree and the mashed potato free on green. If you serve it with even more veg then the 1/3 to 2/3 superfree works out really well. Use syns for stock and/or gravy.

Snacked on fruit and used some syns to share some crisps with OH. Most of my HE's got used by milk in coffee incidentally!!

I've tried it in the past quite successfully and I'm in a bit of a maintaining rut at the mo so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for it to work this time.

    Good luck!

let us know how you get on. for the shepards pie if I used mince would that be healthy extra's or would it be free as well as the potatoe?
    HOW MUCH ?

    Hi all

Well my three good days came to a crashing end tonight when I indulged in a Galaxy bar and I am not talking about one of those medium sized ones I am talking 150g:eek: so bad so bad naughty naughty (but it was delicious lol).

Honey - sorry if my germs have morphed your way - could explain why I am now feeling fine :rotfl: I drank lots of hot lemon and had a couple of early nights and that seemed to do the trick for me - good luck with yours. Did you manage to make it to your aerobics or were you too shattered with the cold??

welcome missmoneypenny my BMI is 32 so you are ahead of me. Are you going to follow a specific plan or adopt a healthy eating and exercise regime?

Jenittels your sucess express plan sounds really good. Can you also have healthy B's with that as I noted your healthy A's were your cheese and milk?

Suggs - yep my early nights have worked wonders. Wow you have a heavy financial time of year coming up sons birthday, Xmas and daughters birthday all within a couple of months. How's the knee by the way?

Oakdale - hugs - well a maintain is better than a gain and you never know you may loose a little extra next week

Loopy good luck for your daughters dancing competition - will teh lights be on in Blackpool yet as I know they normally come on some time in October - I remember going to see them as a kid - probably more spectacular then when I was 10 lol

Teepee fingers crossed for your weigh in tomorrow - Im sure it wont be as bad as you think.

hope everyone else is well and doing ok. Speak soon

If anyone wants a Success Express 7 day plan, let me know and I can email it to you (pm me your email address please). It can help if you see a few days menu's written down I think.

Oakdale don't worry about the maintain, is it your third week by any chance? Apart from the blip on Monday night, have you been 100% all week?

Suggs when my children were growing up, they were scared stiff to say they were bored, 'cos I always said to them (and to you now), "If you're bored, here's a duster" - it was amazing how fast they found something interesting to do :rotfl:

JenIttels I don't see any HEBs on your success express days - have you missed them off your menu, or did you not have any?

Hi to everybody, sorry I haven't mentioned you by name - too tired tonight, it's been a busy couple of days and I'm crackered!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Evening all and welcome to the newcomers

I made a decision this week. I realised that what I've been doing over the last few months hasn't worked, so I'm going to go back to following the Slimming World plan - properly. Although I've been convincing myself that I've been in control of my RC/SW hybrid diet, it isn't showing in results. So, its back to red and green days, plenty of free food, 10 or so syns a day, and measured healthy extras. And hopefully, a stone lost by Christmas - or the 8th of December would be even better, as that's when I'm going to the little black dress 'do'.

To all those struggling and gaining this week, don't struggle on your own - why not post your food diaries, and we can give you some tips about what you could change.

Tee-pee - you'll probably be pleasantly surprised at your WI, you may not have put on as much as you think.

Oakdale-minx - there's a phrase we use a lot on this thread - it's better to maintain than to gain. If you hadn't had a 100% week apart from the night out, it could have been a gain. Remind yourself how much you've lost so far and give yourself a pat on the back.

Alyssa-mae - I haven't got my SW book handy, but I don't think you can count mince or mashed potato as healthy extras, so the only way to have shepherds pie on SW is if you syn it. Quorn mince is a good alternative.

MissMoneyPenny - my BMI is about the same as yours! You may feel that reducing your BMI to below 25 will be a huge task, so you could break it down into more easily achievable 'bite size' chunks.

Honey - 2lb gain! That must have been a good couple of weeks, did you enjoy the holiday? ;) :rotfl: It's good to loosen the corsets now and then, and it sounds like you're back on the straight and narrow again, so here's hoping for a good weight loss next week.

    Have a good week everyone.

You can have both green and original plan foods together on Success Express, so the cottage pie, with minced beef (original plan free food) and mashed potato (green plan free food) on ONE third of your plate, along with superfree foods (those that are free on both plans) on the other TWO thirds of your plate would be allowed.

I had pizza and chips tonight ... and a bottle of Miller ... :( ... good to hear I'm not the only one who ballsed up!

My friend arrived out of the blue and as she doesn't like my planned dinner of rice salad and I was totally unprepared for anything else we ended up getting quick stuff from the shop. I feel really silly - I should have told her I was trying to lose weight and she'd have been fine with a sandwich but instead I ate way too much rubbish.

I feel like I'm slithering back into bad old ways at an alarming rate, so an early night and some vigorous Davina tomorrow. I'll maybe try and get a casserole started in the slow cooker before work tomorrow, that'll give me a boost when I get home. Think I'll drag OH to bed with me, I feel the need to burn calories NOW, before they make their way to my hips! ;)
