going to get weighed Thursday i know she will tut at me etc but then maybe iI need t hear that. Your right I think I have convinced myself that I ahve become one of those people who can eat what they like and it doean't affect them. WHY??

Have you tried writing out a 'for' and 'against' list, asking questions about the real reasons for wanting to lose weight on one side, and all the reasons for sabotaging yourself on the other.

    For instance, you might have:

    For
Why do I want to be slim?
What's the best thing that could happen to me if I'm slim?

    Against
What don't I like about slimming?
What bad things could happen to me if I slim?

Then go on to answer those questions, eg:-
    For
I want to look good in my swimsuit
I want to live a long and healthy life

    And:-
    Against
I won't be able to eat chocolate/have a good night out at the pub
If I lose weight I'll probably put it all back on again

Sometimes it takes a while to be able to do this right, but if you persevere it really can be a revelation.
I know it doesn't look too good here, but get a big sheet of paper, divide it with a line down the middle and have a go.

    Hi folks

Well a good couple of days so feeling chuffed with myself.

Suggs I thnk you are right I tend to look at a month and think right its now 'X' and Ive only got so many weeks to loose 'Y' amount of weight. Which thinking about it is quite a pressurised way of looking at it and doesnt really celebrate any achievements in the past month like yours does. May need to do a slight rethink on that.

Honey - hope the packing has gone okay - lots of calorie burning, bending, stretching and then up and down stairs.

Consultant - glad you had a nice dinner with your in laws. At least it was for a special occassion.

Rachel - hope Brasil goes ok. Running on the tredmill to bid up TV Brasilian style has a strange image in my head:rotfl:

Madauri - well done on your weightloss and good luck at your mums.

Teepee - sounds like a good challenge with Rachel there - will be interested to see what happens.

Cliffsgirl - wlecome - sorry no specific advice but agree with consultant that the SW diet shouldn't cause you any problems with your tablets as its low fat and follows the good eating principles but I think you should make an appt to see your GP or the clinic nurse amd ask them to explain the ins and outs of the diet your supposed to follow on the tablets.

Sorry if I have missed anyone but am nearly falling asleep (bad night last night). Have a good day tomorrow and speak to you later.

    Morning all,

Had a rough night, think the bug travelling amongst us has landed on planet suggs! Got to Boots though and lost 3lb, so very happy with that :D back on my 9/10/11 day cycle!

Cliffsgirl, as a fellow indie healthy eater (I dont like the D word!) I recommend what Consultant and Madurai have been saying, a visit to a dietician would be very helpful in making sure you eat the right foods for reductil. If its anything like my GP surgery though, it maybe quicky to see the GP and or the nurse in the interim. Good Luck though and be sure to ask for help in this forum, I have said it once and I will say it again, you will find a great bunch of ladies in here :)

TallGirl, Dont worry about the tiny little gain :) the scenic route is a lovely route and you will get there as you know what went wrong :) so you are able to change the route if you desire.

Back to shopping, my little boy, the usual list, mobile phone, freeview, new mp3, Digital camera, the usual list for a young man! :o I tend to stick, by argeement with the ex to £50-£60. He is into James Bond and his Xbox, he would love Grand Theft Auto, but his mum would freak! so was thinking about a DK book on James Bond gadgets, and a mp3 player and speakers, but I also fancy getting him a Ipod nano, Apple are selling the refurb 2Gb version for £65, hence the confused state.

Sorry to go on and on.
