Thanks.
Hi cliffsgirl, welcome to the threadYou could try this site, there seems to be a bit of everything on there.

Hope everyone's doing well. Just a quick call in today, hubby's birthday and the whole family's going out to lunch - well 10 of us! It's always a noisy, busy time when we all get together, but it'll be fun.
Good luck with the unpacking Honey, you're a hero, it's a deadly job. Glad you've made a choice you're happy with though, it'll have taken all the pressure off, I hope.
Oakdale, have you tried the leek and onion quiche? It's my favourite one, very yummy!
Suggs well done, you've had a productive month, you really are an inspiration!
BTW, I've just posted some soup recipes, the tomato and basil is so easy and scrumptious
KatiePC, sounds as though you had a little blip what with the pizza AND the fudge(I looooove fudge) - was it really for just for OH?
Are you back on track today????
Right, they're arriving - gotta go!! Have a good day allI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
i''m going to make my soup tomorrow afternoon, i'll let you know how it goes.
I've never liked quiche. I hate (and I do mean hate) egg white and I can 'smell' the white of the egg in the quiche.

Weird ...!
Good day today, after yesterday's vigorous Davina exploits (followed by a long walk and some dog-chasing - don't ask) I did another good stint of fat-burning today. I still feel a bit bloated today though, I've just about stopped eating bread totally but I've been having bagels instead, I think they're probably not helping ...
However, nice dinner of spicy tattie wedges, beef, lentil and veg chilli and some fruit and yoghurt for pudding. Then Cracker's on at 9 tonight - can't wait, I used to love it!
All the best for anyone weighing in tomorrow ... think light! :j0 -

Surely your Doc didn't just give you the pills without instructions!
I don't mean to be unhelpful, but these tablets put a different slant on slimming, and I don't really understand how they work in conjunction with other food. I do know you have to be very careful with fats or you get diarrhoea.
I don't think very low calorie diets are ever good, so I wouldn't go under 1500 cals a day, and do try to drink lots of water (at least 2 litres a day).
A regular SW healthy diet should work for you - lots of carbs, lots of fresh fruit and veg, small portions of meat or fish, small portions of milk or cheese, with a touch of something containing fat and/or sugar each day.
You're welcome on here as often as you like for advice , help or just a friendly chat.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hello from Brazil!!! ( I would say it in Portugese but I just got laughed at by the porter in the hotel when I had a go!).
The weather here is just the same as when I left Manchester - coldish and drizzly - you come half way around the world and they can't even be bothered to make it sunny!!!!!
Yesterday wasn't too bad foodwise but today (I arrived this morning and am counting today from when I arrived at the hotel because of the time difference) has been rubbish so far. Was starving and nothing was open at the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning so had to have a packet of crisps and a biscuit from the minibar.
Will try much harder for the rest of the day and until Thursday when I get home. There is a small gym here with a telly that no-one else appears to use so I can go and watch the mental equivalent of Bidup TV in a manic Brazilian way later whilst having a gentle trot on the running machine.
Nothing else to report really.... just a really really long day with nothing to do.
By the way Suggs - on planes I get so bored I will myself to sleep. A couple of wines helps too !
Cheers for now
Rachel.

Just came across these and they made me laugh, so thought I'd share.
Please add "Suggs excepted" to each line :rotfl:
Men are like ........ Lava Lamps
Fun to look at, but not very bright.
Men are like ........ Parking Spots
All the good ones are taken, the rest are handicapped.
Men are like ........ Mascara
They usually run at the first sign of emotion.
Men are like ........ Popcorn
They satisfy you, but only for a little while.
Had a lovely lunch, unfortunately I completely lost the plot and ate for England (gold medal standard) - ah me!!
Back on track tomorrow :AI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
cliffsgirl, if you are an "independent" dieter it would be a good idea to go back to your doctor and ask them to give you an appointment for the dietician so that you get a personalised diet. Apart from that, what I can tell you is keep away from fried foods and don't eat more than two slices of bread a day.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0

:rotfl: You forgot the two classic ones, Consultant31:
Men are like ........ Pizza
You call them and in 10 minutes you have them hot at your door.
