  • Hi all thanks again for all your welcomes,
I so hope I can lose weight, I have been drinking water all day, don't really like the taste of tap water, but had a brita water filter thingy bought for our wedding, and used it for the first time today, its amazing the differnece it makes!

I went to a macmillan coffee morning I'm scared to admit to how many biscuits, cakes and peices of caramel fudge I've had. then to top it off I got an aero truffle from the shop and had it with a cup of tea. and I haven't drank any water at all today. I have to babysit tonight so i shall be drinking water instead of tea and i will take some fruit with me.

Me too. I had a slice of chocolate cake with my coffee.

Rosemary would not be happy... As from tommorow I will be on the case and eating and exercising by the book.

Hi Loopy-loo - welcome back, and well done for your weight loss. :T

You've disappeared from the 2 pound club weight loss chart, but don't worry you'll reappear again as if by magic on Monday! :)

Well folks, I have had my chinese ... mmmmm ... washed down with a large glass of red. I'm stuffed now, but it was delish. Off to soak with a bath bomb now ... I love this diet malarkey ... :)
  • Only had 2 small biccies but have just had a virtuous tea of beans on toast to try to rectify the damage......
but also have just had about half a big aero bar ( now safely hidden in the back of the fridge).

Can't even blame it on hormones - just greed!!! (haven't had proper chocolate for ages though and it was luuuuvvverly!!)

    Dieting is fab!

    Back on the wagon tomorrow.

Hi Kim, welcome to the thread. I did roasted vegetable pasta bake for tea, with cheese melted on the top - what did you have?

It's good to hear about someone else having a big baby - my first was a ten pounder too. A friend gave birth a few weeks before I did, and her son was 12 and a quarter pounds! The good thing about big babies is that they don't go through that scrawny 'skinned rabbit' look that tiny babies do - no offence to tiny babies, I'm sure their mothers love them just as much! Mine looked like a 3-month old the day she was born, she was so bonnie, like a little cherub :) My daughter is now 6ft 1, but the lad who started off at 12 pounds is a mere 5ft 6, but built like a barrel.

By the way, there's a public information message at the beginning of the Rosemary Conley dvd that advises women who have recently given birth, to wait until their post natal before commencing exercise, and to get their doctor's advice before starting an exercise or weight loss programme.

Good luck with your weight loss.

    Evening all

Well weigh in today and lost 1/2lb not a lot but its 'star' week this week and I am still not feeling 100% so I am happy with that. Glad to see all the good losses should be a good week for Lois' chart. :T

Welcome to the newbies - this site is adictive and once discovered you will be reaching for it instead of the biccies or else you will get a sharp kick up the bum (in a friendly nice way) :rotfl:

Loved the chat on the water as in the summer I was being really good and drinking 3-4 litres of water a day and nothing else - however, have slipped back into my bad caffine habits and have abandonned the water and guess what - my headaches, listlessness and poor sleeping habits are back - me thinks its time to go back to the water hole!!!!

Hoping to resume normal service next week with daily postings but until then good luck to all and keep up the good work.
  • What's everyone up to today?
It's my step-mums 60th so we are off round theirs later for a few drinks then out for a slap up meal ... not sure how i'll manage the points
I've managed to save 13 so far this week. Going to the gym this afternoon while DD dances, then swimming tomorrow with DD (hangover permitting :o ) & back to the gym on Monday night while DD dances again, hopefully that will help :A
I think the plan is to enjoy myself, not drink so much i can't get up tomorrow & only have 1 helping of everything not my usual 2 or 3 :p
    Have a good weekend all.
    Lou.

Enjoy the party lou. Today we are unpacking. (we were due to move at the end of the summer but it fell through last minute and have now, after weeks of searching for someting else, decided to stay where we are - hence lots of unpacking). It will be a good excuse again to get rid of some [STRIKE]crap[/STRIKE] stuff that we no longer need - its been packed for 2 months and not missed so can't be that useful! It will also give me a chance to give house a good clean out. Might work off some calories doing that. I made caramel sqaures for OH and kids yday and have been nibbling so could do with working off some! On my 3rd large glass of water as we speak. Will spend rest of day unpacking and running to loo!
Have a good day all, will catch up later.

Ps. Am having a fancy dress party at end of Oct - I posted another thread for ideas - can any of you lot help - bearing in mind I'm not quite at the slinky skinny stage!
