Thanks for the giggle Suggs, I loved that joke :rotfl: (and I am lucky enough to think my MIL is wonderful!) :A

I am feeling much better this morning. Yesterday was annoying because I was on track through the day but didn't manage as much fruit and veg or exercise as I had hoped (hurry up payday  <fidget fidget>!) and then OH made fish and chips for tea. I love fish and chips but the shop-bought battered stuff is so fatty and the chips weren't even homemade. In days gone by I might even have had 2 portions of the fish  which is really scary cos I had one last night with a small handful of chips, curried baked beans and some beetroot (desperate attempt to get some veg down me!), and I was stuffed full. Anyway, he did have it ready for me getting home from work so I have to be careful not to complain ...

This morning has started well with a glass of water and a good boxing sesh with Davina. I'm off for a quick shower and some cornflakes before work. Hopefully it'll be quiet today and I can relax at home for most of it ... :D

Have a great day, losers! And to anyone not feeling so perky this morning, here's a hug: :grouphug:

    :) Hi all,

Not sure if I should say this, so I shall whisper it. Weighed in at Boots today, actually did it twice as I couldnt believe it. I lost 4lb since Monday :j In fact I just noticed ,looking at the print off, it is bang on 2kgs lost since Monday, I dont know why or how I haven't done anything special, in fact I may have eaten more, by way of salads and yogurts  Ruins my theory a little!

Consultant good idea, as well as guiding us with planning for meals and the the week ahead, sign off with a little joke to raise a smile :) So heres mine............

Annie welcome back, and don't worry, the roads are littered with bodies that keep falling off the wagon, lol. We just have to keep getting back on, till eventually, we cling on right to our destination.
    You'll get there

  • Hi All:
Had my weigh in this past Thursaday and lost 1 1/2 pds. woooohooo. I definitely do need to increase my exercise this week in preparation for the PMS bloaty week. I tend to crave salty things, like cream cheese, salt and vinegar chips etc. I think that if I prepare for it and have healthy treats available I will be alright???Does anyone have any tips?

Eels: Hugs right back at ya and hope you have a good day.
Suggs: Youre in law joke is really funny... tempted to show it to my husband.
Annie: You're off to a brillant start on Monday...

Well have a good week everyone.

Well done on that great loss!

I know what you mean about 'that week', I tend to have all sorts of cravings (usually carbs). This time around I didn't feel it as badly, I'm sure as a result of me eating much more healthy stuff in the last few weeks.

Try making homemade spicy potato wedges (you only need a tiny drizzle of olive oil to toss them in, then sprinkle with paprika and chilli powder, or Schwartz American BBQ mixture). Bake them on high until crisp, they feel soooo naughty, and you don't need salt because of the spices. What about homemade hummous to replace the cream cheese?

  • Hi,

I have just come across this thread after using the site for a while now... I was diagnosed with PCOS this week and intend on starting a GI diet plan as soon as I get my head round it... Has anyone any tips for me? I'm also considering joining a Rosemary Conley group - has anybody tried these?

Thanks so much in advance, looking forward to reading replies

    Hi all

Starting to feel a bit back to normal now so thats good. Had a day out yesterday with OH and the little one boat trip, then steam train then open top bus, good fun and a nice day so maybe just what I needed to cheer myself up although Suggs and Consultant have done that with their jokes too which made me laugh so much OH came to find out what I was laughing at!!

Had a good few days diet wise as not felt very hungry and therefore haven't felt inclined to eat much. Tempted to weigh myself but not gonna til next Friday:o

have seen that there has been some excellent weightlosses this week well done and good luck and hugs to all those who have been having a horrid week like me.

Got to go now as we decided to make a start on renovating our living room this morning and now most of the faux fireplace is in the middle of the room needing to be shifted out to the patio. Calorie burning stuff lol.

    Speak later

Hi and welcome to this thread.
I'm sorry I can't help with your particular diet needs as I know nothing about the GI plan or RC, my big thing is Slimming World!! I Googled though and came up with http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/diet/gi_diet.htm - hope it'll be useful for you.
My daughter is undergoing tests for PCOS at the moment and is worried sick it'll mean she can't have children.

Hi folks, gosh you lot have been busy. Well done to Suggs (v jealous!) and Ciara and welcome back to Delly.

Too tired tonight for a long post - great weekend, too much wine, way too much food & not enough sleep. Will come back tomorrow when I am more human!
