I came across an Excel food diary somewhere on the internet for SW, but now I can't find it and I am on my last Food diary sheet!

Does anyone have one or could post a link to one?

Hi Minerva - I think I've got one on my other computer. If you want to send me an email, I'll send it to you.

    How are you doing Dellybelly?

    Hi Lois,

Not doing so good at the minute. My BB had his 40th birthday over the weekend. I had a really great time at his party but didn't manage to stay away from the buffet:rolleyes: or the chocolate birthday cake:eek: .

I completely chickened out of my weigh in on monday night... a serious ostrich moment so I've no idea if I've weight on or not:confused: (told you, I'm a chicken!). I take it a star week is a PMT week? If so, I've got one of those coming up this week. I'm just going to have to tackle it with brown bread and wholemeal pasta etc. I always feel better if I eat healthy (even if I'd KILL for a chocolate bar!).

I had a good day yesterday (Tuesday), was doing loads of walking in my work, so hopefully I'll undo any damage from the weekend through just doing my job:p I'm finding the routine during the day easy to stick to, but making dinners at night time is difficult. I'm off for the bank holiday today (Wednesday) so I'm going to sit down with OH and try and draw up a meal plan for dinners for the next few weeks, then go and buy the stuff to make it . I always find knowing what to make for dinner more difficult than actually making it. ... one of my favourite dinners is a Nigella Lawson dish - any mediterranian veg and chicken breasts, red onions, sweet potatoes and garlic roasted in the one tin in the oven. It's a bit dry (but better with home made tomato sauce) but really healthy and tastes GORGEOUS! I'd already planned to make that for dinner tomorrow, so I should be ok. I'll probably be too busy with DS and DH to be up to much badness and we've already planned to go out for a walk in the afternoon.

I really feel that the saying "fail to plan and you plan to fail" applys to me when I'm trying to eat healthily and reduce my weight. If I don't have my week's eating mapped out - I'm more often doomed than not.

I have a lovely treat planned for myself at the weekend. OH is on nightshift and my SIL is keeping DS overnight on saturday. A friend and I are going out for tea and to see "Pirates" on Saturday night so I have plenty of incentive to save points and work up my bonus points.

Phew, really long post! sorry for the essay everyone. I'll check in again in the morning.

    Have a good day.

    Edel.

    Hi guys

Delly: Maybe you really needed that weekend so that you cn now get back into the nitty gritty of it, good luck this week & enjoy the nigella dinner.

I weigh in later this morning, so fingers crossed again. I've had an odd week, but haven't been too naughty. I'm off to Buckingham palace tomorrow, so I am just hoping that I have lost a bit of weight, so that I can look good in my dress.

Good luck to all this week.

Hi Dellybelly - at least you haven't buried your head in the sand with us, hopefully because you know you'll get support and good advice! We all know how hard it is to stay on the straight and narrow, specially when there are so many temptations to resist. Sometimes we need to relax and have a break from saintliness...:A

Do you have Outlook on your PC? I print out a calendar from it for each month - it fills a page of A4 and has boxes for each day of the week, just the right size to write in what you plan to have for dinner that day. If you write small you could probably squeeze another meal in if you wanted to. If you're not sure how to do it, PM me and I'll do my best to help.

That sounds gorgeous! I've recently discovered roasted vegetables and cook them a lot - red onions, butternut squash, peppers, courgettes, babycorn, parsnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, new potatoes - not all at once of course! Tonight I'm going to do chicken with roast vegetables, and I'll cook a double amount of veg and save half till tomorrow and mix it up with cooked pasta and passata to make pasta bake.
"fail to plan and you plan to fail"

I think we should all adopt that as our motto!

You're obviously as determined as ever, so as has been said frequently on the board, put it behind you and move on, and hopefully you'll find you havent done that much damage when you brave the scales again.

Have a good week yourself :)

    Hello :D
I'm in work at the moment looking at loads of cakes which my boss put on the end of our desks (its his birthday) ... very tempting but thats why i'm posting not eating. There are even chocolate muffins ... have settled for a :coffee: instead.
BF rang at lunch time wanting to know if i fancied curry for tea  of course i fancy curry  can't have it tho as not planned in this week & if i fall off the wagon already i don't stand a chance!
Took a while for him to get that but was happier when i said i'd plan it in next weeks dinners (dellybelly ... you are right ... planning is the way forward). We're having cold pork (left over from Sunday's roast) with homemade overn chips and baked beans. Not as good as curry but BF & DD will eat it so i only have to cook once & i've planned the points for it which is most important.
    bfn ... Lou.

ps ... jenpoptab ... enjoy meeting the queen ... wish i was coming too instead of working!

Am using ww at the moment but am tempted to have a change and go back to s.world. Thinking of using their online food optimising thingy. I lost a lot of weight before with slimming world when I went to the group but want to do it online this time. I like the diet. Have never seen the website though and seem to remember it used to be difficult to get the syn values of some foods and had to ring up!

S.World I know has the calculator on screen and you can keep a running total. Are the websites very different? The appeal of ww is that you can eat anything but then that's usually what happens !

What do you all think please....just worried that s. world may be a less user friendly website, but then that's probably because I've never seen it!

    Hi Phoebe,

Welcome, the SW site is extremely helpful (if you're a member and have the password) and it's only brand new things on the market that aren't listed on the Syns Calculator.
    I haven't got one!
