Thanks to all for the good wishes.
Rachel - poor you, hope you start to feel better soon - a kidney infection is a horrible thing - I normally curl up in bed with a hot water bottle so its wick that you are stuck in Japan not feeling too hot.
I cant believe that is all time to Christmas - do I hear the challenge of 1lb a week bells ringing loud and clear on the lose weight thread?!0 -

Well done on your first week's excellent loss :T
It's unlikely that you will average 3lb a week over a prolonged period, so please don't expect too much. The danger is that if you don't lose what you expect, you label yourself a failure, which will kill your diet!
The safest, healthiest weight loss is around 1½ - 2 lbs a week. This gives you the best chance of learning new life-time habits which keep you effortlessly slim.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hello everyone
I have lost 1lb this week which means that I am now at the top of my healthy BMI range for the first time. I'm very happy and am now considering aiming for 10stone 7 as my target weight as I am quite happy with where I am at now. That will mean losing 3lb's more. However if /when I get to 10stone 7lb the I may reconsider and see how I feel then.
Still not sure about my hair. Have 1 week to decide. 9 days 'til holiday now and closer to the completion of the conservatory.

Evening all
The burning question for today is - why can men lose weight so easily? (present company excepted Suggs - you probably don't think it's easy!)
To spur me on, I challenged OH to a competition, a race to lose a stone the quickest, and in just two days, he managed to lose 2 pounds! I've been stuck for the last three weeks and he does it just like that.
When I started doing SW, OH was about 3 stone overweight, and decided to follow it with me - actually he didn't have a lot of choice, because I wasn't going to cook separate meals, but he did embrace the whole idea by cutting down on alcohol and snacks. He managed to lose 2 stone in 3 months - it just dropped off him, and he would often go off track, but just had to focus on the plan for a few days to lose whatever weight he gained.
Just had to share that with someone!
Rachel - sorry to hear you're not well, it's always worse when you're not in familiar surroundings, but Japanese healthcare sounds excellent. Hope you feel better soon.
Tallgirl - oh dear! It is difficult when you haven't got complete control over the foods you can choose from. The only thing to do is put it behind you and start afresh. I often announce to OH that 'today is Day One' and he knows that means I'm making a new start. Once you are able to make healthy choices you will be able to make that new start, and hopefully you won't have undone too much of the good you have done so far.
Oakdale_minx - excellent result, well done! :T
JenP - that's great news, you have now reduced the risk to your health that being overweight brings :T Well done! That is one of the key motivators for me, as I'm very aware that being overweight means I'm at higher risk of stroke, heart disease, diabetes, and other nasties. And I recommend you go for a short hairstyle - it will go with the new look, slim you.
Alyssa-mae - want to join me and Tallgirl in putting the past behind you and making a new start? We could have the Day One club!
Consultant31 and Honey - thanks for offering to post HiFi bars to me. I may take you up on the offer at some point, but at the moment I'm not allowing myself anything that might be described as a snack - proper meals and fruit are the order of the day.
Hope everyone is having a good week.

Morning all
Hope that you are all well. I'm getting a cold, thanks to whoever passed it on. At least it should be over with by the time the holiday comes.
Just doing some housework so that should gain me a few points. Anyway speak to ya later.WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030
