    Hi all

Suggs - well done :T for scoring the first try at rugby. It was rather warm yesterday, playing anything energetic is the last thing I'd have done! I'm supposedly doing the housework at the moment too, but switched the computer on for some music and couldn't resist a quick catch up on here.

Eels - that DVD sounds good, I might get it as a change, I must admit I'm getting a bit bored of RC and her team.

Honey - pleased to hear little 'un is back to normal, luckily kids are very resilient. My daughter used to get into more scrapes than my son, we were forever taking her to casualty to get things stitched. I like the wedding photo idea but it wouldn't work for me - I'm the same weight now as when I got married, and that was lighter than when I left school :o I sometimes think using a 'before' picture has more impact on my will power as it reminds me what I could return to without some self control.

Me4Bargains - well done :T that's an excellent loss, you should be pleased with yourself. (Pat on the back time!)

JenP - where are you off to on your hols? I love having a holiday to look forward to, I need to get something planned! It sounds like you've focussed your mind so I'm sure you'll have a good result between now and the holiday.

Katiepoppycat - welcome back, and well done for taking the plunge with the laser surgery. (Quickly straightens hair and pulls stomach in as KPC now has Xray vision and can see us all ;))

Rachel - if you haven't already gone, have a good trip to Japan. I hope there are some perks to having a job that takes you off to such far flung places!

    Ciara111 - 3.5lbs! Well done :T

JenI - I really miss HiFi bars, I used to adore the apricot and white chocolate ones, do they still do them? I quite like Ryvita Minis when I'm in the mood for a savoury snack. I sometimes make some blue cheese dip with Quark and stilton (recipe on the recipes thread) and Dorito's salsa dip is low in syns, as an alternative to sour cream.

Right, better get back to the housework, and I might even get out and do some tidying up in the garden while it's so nice and sunny.

    Catch you all later.

  • i can see much better now and you all look slimmer :T

I want some "slimming" eyes like those :rotfl:

After reading the posts from you energetic people - Eels with the DVD, Jenpoptab with the walking and Suggs with the rugby (congrats to you) I feel like I need a lie down. Been dog-sitting this last fortnight for my daughter and the most energy I've expended today has been chasing her round the garden with a ball. She's only a pup and loves chasing a ball, but hasn't quite got the idea of fetching it back yet - I get the feeling she thinks "you threw it, you fetch it" :rotfl:

Lois, they still do the apricot & white chocolate Hi-Fi bars, along with chocolate orange, and the newest one, cranberry & yoghurt.
Have you no-one who can get you some from a class?
If you want, I can post you some - they're £1.25 a pack of 3.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I was going to offer the same thing. The chocolate and orange ones are lovely too!

    Hi

Hope you have all had a good weekend. Reporting on my weightloss I managed 1lb this week so am now back at what I was before I went on holiday 4 weeks ago lol. But at least I am back!

Have been trying to do well all weekend as by the next weigh in I want to have lost 2lb so that I am back on target for losing 7lb by my next holiday which is now only 4.5 weeks away - aaaarrrrgggghhhh.

I know I can do it when I am being strict with myself and tomorrow I have organised grapefruit and cereal for breakfast, am taking the Ryvita goodness bars to work for am and pm snacks, have a veg curry in the fridge to take for lunch, and have pasta and sauce sorted for dinner in the evening - so throw in a banana, apple and some grapes and hopefully a nice healthy day!!!!

Sorry cant do individual posts this evening as need to get some ironing done lol but hope everyone is doing fine and will catch up on Monday.

Gimme an S, gimme a U, gimme a G, gimme another G, gimme an S ...! Well done you, I bet that felt fantastic! :j

jenpoptab, I find walking really good as you can vary the intensity to what you feel able to do and the scenery takes your mind off the exercise bit :D . But yes, I'd recommend Davina as a partner to Rosemary Lois. If I'd started this exercise malarkey with Davina 2 weeks ago, I'd never have stuck to it, but Rosemary's gentle pink introduction has prepared me for thrashing an invisible assailant to a bloody pulp  courtesy of Davina's boxing session. I'm just recovering from doing it again today and it's brill (even if I did skip the press-ups - there's still waaaaaay too much tummy to lift off the ground!).

And katypoppycat, I too am the fat girl with specs who sat at the back of the class ... I'm a bit scared of the surgery but if I succeed in losing weight (IF? What am I talking about, of COURSE I'll succeed!) it might be a nice thing to save towards for myself. I'm glad you're happy with the result.

Hope everyone has a good week ahead - I'm off to visualise myself hovering above the scales like a feather tomorrow morning :rotfl:
  • Just a quickie to let you know I've arrived in Kyoto and it's flipping boiling!
    I'm 8 hours ahead of you - it's 2pm now and I'm starving!!!
I'm with a couple of colleagues and so we'll be all very bleary eyed trying to find something recognisable to eat in a little while.
Will keep you updated on the weird and wonderful.
    Have a good week
    Rachel.
  • Hi Rachel, hope Japajn is fun. I used to teach on a japanese summer school at uni where a group of students from Kyoto would come over to learn about England - lots of visits to castles and afternoon tea! Anyway, they taught me some good words. Apparently if a guy comes on to you in a bar he might say 'Okashin-iy'(promounce it like the personal pronoun i. The accepted response is 'o-toe-toy-ke-a-gaw-ay' (spelled phonetically i think!) which translates as 'come back the day before yesterday' This had them rolling about laughing. Japanese humour is rather different to ours i think. Still an amazing trip to be on and I wish you luck!

Eels, I totally recommend the op. It's really boosted my resolve to not be that person any more.

    Monday weigh in ... thank you Davina, I have lost .... 3lbs! <does a little happy dance>

Have a great day, all! :)
  • Moira Well done on being so organised. It really makes things easier doesn't it? Well done on the 1lb and good luck in keeping the diet up this weekend. Really recommend C31's idea of identifying potential risky areas during the week and preparing for them!

Jenpoptab Have a really lovely holiday (if you've not already gone?!)! I think with your excellent weight loss over the past month or so you more than deserve the chinese!

EelsI keep making myself say 'when' rather than 'if' I lose the weight and after losing so much and keeping the determination I'm actually starting to believe it! Can't imagine what it's actually like to be slim though...looking forward to finding out!

Rachel Hope Japan is lovely. What a great place to go with work (i only ever get to go to places like swindon!). :)
