Welcome Annie!!
Jeni - If you pay my flights I will personally go and check out every aspect of Las Vegas for you!! Infact, I could volunteer myself to be your wedding co-ordinator. A trip to Vegas would be just what the doctor ordered!!0 -
JenIttels wrote:Welcome to Annie. Can I ask how much you're looking to lose (just cause i'm nosey like that)? Lots of people I know have been successful on WW so good luck with it! (and watch out for cheekymole's boot, she may seem nice but the boot is nasty!)
Consultant: My planning has been marginally successful. Have had a few slip ups (a chinese takeaway to celebrate booking hotels and flights to Las Vegas) but have tried to adapt to it. My plan this week will be much better as I've been keeping an eye on where things have gone wrong.
How's your plan going C31?
JenPop Off topic but seem to remember that you got married in the Little Chapel of Flowers. We're looking into it at the moment and think it's got to be the best option for value and lack of tackiness! Did you go into the grounds at all? I'd love to do it outside if the weather is ok but don't know much about the grounds. Am sending OH to check it out next week as he'll be in Vegas with work!
Thanks for the welcome - I have approx 7 1/2 stone to lose:eek: which would take me down to a good weight for height/age. It's really going to be along hard up-hill slog and I will need tons of support so I'm relying on you guys.

You've come to the right place then Annie! Good to have you on board!
I feel awfully guilty that I'm Slimmer of the week on here when this week I maintainted - the 3lb loss was last weeks, but thanks Lois! It made my day! :j
Someone in work had brought in chocolate cheesecake. It looked gorgeous. I had a miniscule sliver of it, so much so I could hardly taste it and it wasn't even the size of a teaspoon! - they all laughed at how little I had. I had 2 rich tea fingers instead :A They'll be sorry!!0 -

Aaah, well, actually I was hoping no-one would ask
I did set off well, but (and it's a big but - in both senses of the word :rotfl: ) was up at a much earlier hour than expected on Saturday morning when I was asked to cover for someone at work, and it should have been my Saturday off. No real excuse I know, but my routine was upset and I never really got it together after that.
Did ok on Sunday though. We had lunch out at a carvery and they're easy to fit into the plan - lots of veggies and potatoes and not much meat suits me very well. Did have a pud though, but they're tiny so no damage done.
It's my group night tonight so will catch up with everything you've been doing tomorrow.
Welcome to the forum Annie, well done on finding us and joining in - I'm sure you'll get the support you need here and a few laughs along the way.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Well done on both fronts - S.O.W. is well deserved, last week or this. And the sliver of cheesecake was dangerous - that tiny taste could have been your downfall so you did well to resist any more :TI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Just feeling really smug as for my morning snack (working at home so dead bored) I had 1 carrot & 1 celery stick dipped in fat free fromage frais mixed with herbs and spices. Is that a good choice or am I kidding myself. It was very nice.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Well done tall girl. very angelic :A
How many syns you reckon in a mouthful of chocolate cheesecake - I'm being totally honest when I say it was teaspoon sized. Its just at SW class last night our consultant read us a "story" of a typical SW-er day and the total syns she "forgot" to write on her food diary amounted to over 50  It was a crust of bread here, half a broken biscuit there... you honestly would not have thought it amounted to 56 syns! Maybe some of you will here the same thing at SW class this week - think it came from head office. It made me think - obviously that was the aim!0 -

Annie
You'll find lots of support here and I'm sure WW will be good as well (although it's sometimes tempting not to stay for class I know!).
I started at 17 stone in Feb. I'm at something like 14 stone 11 now. It's a slow slog but at least it's shifting. My 17stone trousers started falling off and I've had to buy new ones now!
I wish you every ounce of luck. I've still got a long way to go (5stone ish) still but won't it be wonderful when we're actually slim!!0 -
C31It's amazing how much relatively small things like that throw the routine isn't it? I never did get round to making a batch of nuke-able meals and freezing them this week so I'm going to have another go next week to try and kill the snacking on syns. It's a new week, so you need a new plan!
Honey: I've done the thing where I've accidentally eaten 50syns worth of teeny bits recently. Such a shock to the system but I hope that now I know how easy it is that I won't do it anymore. Why do I waste my syns on the odd crisp that I steal from the OH?????? Thanks for the offer to scope out Las Vegas etc.Maybe I'll take you up on it for my next wedding
Tallgirl: We haven't actually booked the wedding itself yet but we're right on the cusp of doing so. My mum will be helping me to make a skirt and top (utterly non traditional though) to wear but haven't even chosen the material yet  Watch out for that celery...next thing you know you'll be binging on it0 -

Sounds great to me TallGirl, My first thought was it is enough, then I saw you had it as a snack :A Well done!
I have just made up a salad for a little later and boxed a spare potion for later, I surprised myself to be honest, so thank you Consultant, I think the planning thing has slipped into my mind withme me really noticing.
On a side issue, I just been back from the gym and my right quad is still stiff from Saturdays rugby match, shall I give it another day before heading to physio, to see if its knotted?Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................
