    Hello All
Suggs well done for the 1 pint only I could never do that I am such pushover when it comes to drinks. Eels don't worry about the milk tray at least you know what you have done and that is 1/2 the battle. Feels horrid afterwards doesn't it. Rachel & Honey you sound like you have had a massively active day today well done bet it feels good.
I have been good myself, play 18 holes of golf shot a net 60 which means i win the competition and loose 4 shots of my handicap that is so so cool. Also the lady I played with had a hole in one so I had to have a glass of wine to celebrate which I don't feel too bad about. In laws will be here in a minute not seen them for 3 weeks just back from South Africa where brother in law lives. Well they are 15 min late now so I guess I better log off. Well done to all who lost weight my weigh in is tomorrow and I really hope I am OK because I have not been that good.

  • Hi, I joined by local Weightwatchers class for the third time last week.
My leader laughed when she saw me in the queue and later said she knew I would be back.
Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.
Anyway i weighed in at a rather too 'healthy' 13st and 3.5 lbs.
Not great for someone who is just 5ft 3in.
I've also joined the gym through the pruhealth promotion that I posted here
Quick question - Is it just me or do other people have one particular 'friend' who constntly takes the p**s out of your weight and laughs when you say you're going on a diet?
Ironically, this 'mate' is bigger than me.
    What's her thinking?
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

If I were faithless in human nature, I'd say your 'friend' just feels threatened by the thought of having a leaner you around. I'd think she, unconsciously or not, wants to discourage you because if you were successful not only her own issue would be more blatant, but also she'd feel more bitter about it. More alone.
But since I believe in love, I'll say she's just being merry. On you.

Sorry, I'm not having a good day.

    hello everyone

Glad so many people are doing so well. We have been so good. We did 30 mins tae bo yesterday then an hour or so gardening. Today an hour and 45 mins walk. Am under my points though, which i have been all week and obviously don't want to be too far under as that can also make me maintain rather than lose as I am not eating enough. I bought some M& M peanuts as treat and have not been remotely interested in them since I found out that 10g- about 4 or 5, equals 1 point.

Thoroughly enjoyed our family walk today, must have been 4 or 5 miles. Beautiful day for it too. I really should look for my pedometer.

So fingers crossed i'll shift that 1/2lb, if not I'm doing something very wrong.

Hi Me4 - well done for taking the plunge and going back to WW. I think your friend is in denial - she would probably love to lose weight too, but hasn't managed to find the willpower to do something about it. It's the same with giving up smoking - the least supportive people will be other smokers, who offer cigarettes to tempt the person trying to give up to start again.

You could try telling your friend your reasons for wanting to lose weight, and tactfully ask her if she would like to join you. She'll soon change her tune when she sees the new you. Don't let her get to you!

    Evening all

Well I have had a bad day diet wise. My little one was up for two hours in the middle of the night and still woke at 630am so I had about 6 hours sleep (broken) so am feeling absolutely shattered today. Made some chocolate brownies with him this morning (fatal!!!) and have had three squares  also have now just had half a bag of Walkers Sensations crisps (not the small bag) as OH bought them this morning as a treat for us this evening. Apart from going overboard on the snacks I did keep to my planned meals for today so no syns there. I also managed to do a 25 minutes RC salasacise, and an hour and a half walking on the beach with the little one so some compensation but not a lot!

Never mind new day tomorrow I guess this is just a flexible syn day and I will have to be super good the rest of the week. Have got OH to put the brownies on the highest shelf in the kitchen which is good as I am scared of heights so there is no way I can get them down.:rotfl:

Lois would love to join the countdown to Xmas - 15 weeks so I will go for 1.5 stone as I would like to loose 1/2 a stone for going to scotland in 5 weeks which would then give me about 10 weeks to loose a further 14lbs.

EelsI was going to get the Davina workout DVD to have a change but think I might give it a miss now lol - well done on only eating an angel delight when your hob blew up - think I would have used it as an excuse to get a takeaway:o

Suggs you never know Boots may appreciate the extra custom you draw in :D Well done on your stagg night you are very disciplined. Hope you are aching a little less now after your jacuzzi.

Honey totally know where you are coming from with that hoover lol Wow 10 stone at Xmas you would be pretty near target by then wouldn't you?

Monkeylugs Well done on the 1.5lb and the tightening of that belt. Good luck for your Xmas target.

Rachel I felt tired before your post and now I think I need a lie down - what a busy bee you have been. Funny for me that time of the month just wants me to lie in a dark corner somewhere lol. Hope you enjoyed the Aero.

Tallgirl Well done on lowering your handicap and winning the competition.

Me4bargins I agree with Madauri on this that it seems like a bit of worry and jealousy from this person that you may actually loose the weight and be fitter and healthier than her and therefore she is trying to sabotage you. Do you think your friendship is strong enough to stand a heart to heart as you may find that she would actually like to join you but is too scared to take the first step?? - just seen I have cross posted with Lois - great minds lol

Jenpoptab Good work on all the exercise, it has been a beautiful weekend. I will keep my fingers crossed for your weigh in but you are doing so well anyway.

Yes! Me4bargins, that sounds a good idea, invite your friend to join you - as a dare, as an experiment, as a way of exploring into new recipes... whatever you think may appeal her most. The idea is that she'll be your ally instead, and have fun with it.
