Lois - glad you had a lovely time - my little one and I probably waved to you on the steam train as we go down to the beach most days for a walk to coincide with the train as he loves it!!
I waved at a mother and child on the beach!! Wouldn't it be amazing if it was you!

Anyone else want to join me in setting themselves a Christmas target?

Lois I would like to set a target with you but I need it to be the 8th Dec as that is when I fly out to South Africa. I have bought the bikini one size too small so I really do have an incentive. I am happy to challenge you that I can reach my target weight of 11st by that time. I have really been slipping this week so a challenge is just what I need. I know I don't have as much to loose as others but I would like to shift it quickly as I put it on quickly. By the way glad you enjoyed London Chicargo is a great show.

Lois I would like to join you in setting and the others in setting an ~Xmas target. Mine would be 11st 2, which is my 10% goal. Good Morning to you all.
Honey28 you are such an early riser. I think I was still dreaming at 9.28am.
I going to point up my meals now for the rest of the day, then off to the Dunstable downs for a long walk. Have a good day everyone.Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest. -Mark Twain

I like the Christmas target idea Lois. So that's 15 weeks, isn't it? My first reaction was to aim for a stone lost but then I thought maybe I should push myself a little bit more. I have a lot of weight to lose, and although it's a lifestyle issue and I need to take things slowly, I have made time for exercise every day bar one (I needed a rest!
) in the last 10 days, and have eaten quite sensibly overall, so I am sure I could manage 1.5 stones.
Having said that I was making a tasty homemade curry last night when my hob exploded so I got a bit down worrying about how we were going to afford to replace it after our recent automotive diasters, and ended up eating an entire Angel Delight (made with semi though ...:o)
Got up and did 20 minutes of Rosemary this morning to compensate. I'm still in pain from trying out Davina the other day - OMG how hard is her workout! Think I'll need to take it really slow ...!0 -
Morning all.
I trust all is well. Thanks to all asking about the stag night.
Im recovering from my first rugby match of the season, so my favourite words for today are - ouch, ahh, and oh! We lost 10-12 not a bad game, but the heat hit me about an hour after the game, this in spite of drinking loads of water, so 5 cans of diet coke and a packet of peanuts later, I start to feel better!
Twas a good stag night, only a small group, which had already started in the small town that Lois lives in at noon. I joined at 7, only had 1 pint then back on the diet coke as I had decided to drive, partly as I thought I wasn't up to drinking, partly as I didnt want to let the side down and partly I made sure I drove! I did partake in a lovely steak and chips though.
I guess you might be a victim of my theory moiracm "What you eat and do this week, appears on the scales at the end of the next" Its seems to hold true for me anywaysI dont think Boots would like it if I weighed myself like you do!
Lois Christmas seems so far away! Im aiming for a loss by the October half term break, I think its 10 pounds to go so I drift under a stone barrier, as Im going to Mallorca with my children. If Im there or thereabouts I would then probably aim for another stone by Christmas. Perhaps this is an additon to the chart? Is it a question of how we all keep each other going?
Honey you little early riser youI thought the blue rinse was going to be after the henna red?
Faithless I have to admit I haven't measured myself, but I am wearing last years jeans and t shirts, but your right that exercise you enjoy will make the muscle appear. All the best, and enjoy!
madauri chin up, keep going, good things will happen! Well done to loopy with her quicky. Rachelmk with that much planned for yesterday did you get it all done? TallGirl Jealous of South Africa its on my list of places to visit, the stag last night is moving back there in three weeks.
Right the washing is on, another coffee beckons and then I will go down the gym for a small session to ease the shoulders and thighs, then into the jacuzzai  :j

Trust me Ciara, it isnt through choice!! 2 young kids demanding breakfast after 8 - weekends mean nothing to them! I cant wait until they are 15-16 and I just have to hoover their bedrooms at 8 on a Sunday morning :rotfl:
Lois - count me in on your Christmas challenge. I want to lost another 11lb by then, bringing me to 10 stone.0 -
Weighing in - another 1.5lbs off. I'm really pleased as I did eat out at Frankie & Benny's and had a few of DS1's birthday chocolate. Obviously walking 2 miles and back to where the car was parked, to Roundhay Park to see Robbie on Friday, and Tobogganing on Sunday cancelled out the meal!!!
I am now the lightest I have been since March and I have had to tighten my belt up by a notch
DH has his Xmas party on 1st or 8th December (12 or 13 weeks) and I'd like to be able to fit into my size 14 LBD, that I last wore Xmas 2003 when I was 19lbs lighter than I was now (it is a stretchy one, so definitely doable)...April 2006 - £9790.26dr. DFD - March 20110 -
"Weekend has started quite well - took dog for a hour long run/walk in the park - it's a beautiful day here in the North.
Have decided to chuck out all of my clothes that are too big, too small, out of fashion etc ready for a new bedroom makeover (saving up for this at the moment). Also am having hair cut and dyed this afternoon as it's rapidly descending back into a mad grey bush! (and I'm only 34!)
Also am going to clean whole house today - bedding already in the washing machine (OH not too chuffed as he was in it until about 5 mins ago).
Car also needs cleaning inside and out - I'll probably run out of steam by about 10am and sit on the sofa watching telly instead but my intentions are good!
"
Well - cleaned car inside and out, walked dog in park (again!), cleaned all of the house, cooked enough food yesterday for today too so easy tea tonight, had hair done (looks Ok, I now look 34 not 134), started to chuck out clothes and then lost interest. Also did 5 loads of washing and dried it all on the line outside. Was then knackered and went to bed at 10!
Today I have been to the park again with dog for an hour, done yet more washing (while the weather is still good - towels and spare beds today!), been to Tescos and MFI to look for new wardrobes and still have to tidy up garden (hate doing this so may just ignore it!)
Sounds super energetic when I write it all down but have just had a mint aero to reward myself - not so angelic! (it is PMT time though - I always go into nesting mode and clean everything when I'm hormonal.)
Suggs - well done on the rugby - I used to play too and the first game of the season was always a killer! Not bad on the night out either - just 1 pint can be counted as medicinal after your exertion!
Feel guilty about the aero now - will go and do garden to neagte its effects!0 -
I just ate half a box of Milk Tray
OK, make the Christmas target a stone, for me please! It's that time again though, I feel like a whale and I'm eating like a rugby squad.
*sigh* this morning's optimism has wilted ... then again rachelmk, having heard your list of achievements I might just go put the washing machine on!0
