Hello all,
Just a quick post as it's been a horrible week so far - family issues and work are not helping this dieting lark! It's also been my "star" week ( I hate that - can't we just say period like grown ups?) and I've had some chocolate, garlic bread and generally bigger portions than I've been having lately. As a result I feel fat and fed up.
Sorry for the moan - I'm annoying myself so must be annoying you too!
Anyway, it's WI tomorrow evening but I'm not at all confident ths week - when I compare what I've had against pre-diet eating I've been positively angelic but not really stuck to the rules this week.
I'll try super-hard tomorrow to be good and to start again as I don't want to undo all of the good stuff I've done recently.
Good luck to all of the new comers - take no notice of me as I'm usually quite happy!! Normal service will resume tomorrow!
Take care

I think that's the key to it - you're never going to have a 'perfect' week, where you eat exactly what you should, and exercise every minute, but if you compare it to how much you would have eaten/how little you would have exercised then you're at least doing better than you were before. I still eat way too much chocolate, but think of all the chocolate I haven't eaten!
Mmm, chocolate...0 -
Just a quick note before I head to bed.
Congratulations to Jenittels on the weight loss 3.5lb that is great, I feel a SotW coming to you soon
Lois, not sure what to do myself, but I will see how I feel in the morning. I have been stretching, but thats not helping much, it could just be down to first game blues.
Madauri - Hob nobs to you my dear! :rotfl:
Rachelmk - Faithless hit the nail on the head, perfect weeks dont happen, cos if you do everything spot on the scales then decide to go on strike! We all have good days and bad, as long as the good outnumber the bad and more importantly we recognise the bad days, shake it by the hand and wave it on its ways, things will then have a habit of working themselves out.
Time for night nights, sleeptight and dont let the bed bugs bite! :TProud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

madauri wrote:About my weekend planning? Mixed nuts. I had a strange week and then a BBQ, but tried to be good the rest of the time. I didn't plan properly though and that reflects on my fridge being empty at the moment which is bad. It should be full of vegetables and other free foods.
It has helped me to detect some things I need to do for success though:
-I must plan my meals
-I must make sure I do the shopping I need in order to be able to follow the plan to a tee
-I must keep a record of the meals I enjoy most (the free or low-syn ones, I mean) to have them in mind whenever I fancy... food.
-I must avoid the shelf where they put those cheese biscuits
I'm going to have another serving of the chicken casserole I've made instead.
Excellent thinking Madauri - with plans like those you'll do well :T
Oh, well done JenIttels, a brilliant loss :j
Tallgirl your snack was definitely saintly, good for you!!
Eels it's hard when your routine is disturbed, but put it behind you and don't fret about it. Good luck for this week
Gosh Moira your energy and determination are inspiring - I'm waiting for a parcel today, but am sat here instead of doing all the things you did - I feel ashamed of myself
Rachel feel free to have a moan at us, that's what friends are for
SW say that if you stick 100% to the plan for at least 5 days a week you should still see a weight loss, so I hope it works out for you.
My group last night lost a record 5½ stone during the, week (there were 41 of them) so we're all well pleased. 4 x ½ stone awards dished out and one 3 stone award so there were a lot of very happy members - it was great!
We had a new challenge this week too. Everyone has to try at least one new food they've never tried before, be it fruit or veg and bring their recipes to group next week. Should be interesting and informative I hope.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Helloooo!
Thanks to everyone for their words of support to a grumpy hormonal dieter!
Feeling much better today - will approach the day with a new attitude. Have just heard that as well as my Japan trip next week (not looking forward to this, it's a regular visit to HQ in Kyoto) I now have to go back to Brazil in the first week in October. Sounds fab I know but flipping hard work! Although the last time I went to Brazil I had a really good weight loss - so every cloud has a silver lining!
I'm on my own tonight and tomorrow night and so will be able to eat what I want without protest and will be able to exercise in front of the TV to a DVD without causing mass hysteria as the football is on tonight! I work in Old Trafford and already there are tons of Celtic fans milling around Man Utd - it's a good excuse to nip off home a bit early!
Anyway, chin up to everyone else - it's your turn for a moan and I'm here to comiserate if you need me! Thanks again,

My turn to post today, still been very good although slight hick up last night. Was due for an evening meeting starting at 7pm so I thought there would be food. Had nice leftover homemade stew for lunch but when I got there only crips and peanuts. Had a couple of handfulls of nuts and when I got back last night at 10pm only had a can of pop no food. Today same thing meeting starts at 4.45pm and goes onto 7pm but no mention of food. It will take me 2 hours to drive back so unless I take something looks like I am stuffed.
Rachel I know going away on business does sucks but Brasil sounds fab, I mean I get Eastbourne and Honiton - no comparison.
Consultant sounds like you have a good time at the meetings. Yesterday in the hall where my meeting was there was a room full of clappping people mainly women. I looked in and they were giving out certificates so I gues it must have been a SW class - looked like they were having fun, nearly thought about pretending I had got lost so I could listen in.
Suggs I agree with Lois stretching is the way to go. My calfs are so sore, did 1 1/2 hour in the gym Monday followed by 45min pilates. However I had a 30min gap so did not stracht out straight away and that must be why my leg is so stiff. They say it is always worse two days after so I am sure you will be fine soon.
Anyway must go so hungry I think I will have my lunch early vegetable soup and no bread. Feeling like :A long may it last with the willpower.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Morning All,
Quick question to consultant31 if I may?
Along with Mullerlight yogurts and the Healthy Balance corners I have in the fridge, I bought some dairylea dunkers for myself, the pack is 88cal which I thought was fine, as a snack and keeps me away from the biscuits, crisps and chocolate, which is now only in the house when my children visit. I have fruit as well in the house, but I seem to waste it
What do you think, am I conning myself or is it ok to 'dunk' everynow and then??
With regards to trying new foods, my local co-op stock small packs of dried fruit, which I buy and try to keep in my gym bag, as a method of not been tempted for choc after training, so my new food has been dried apricot :j
Can I ask a final thing? Sorry and apologises to anyone getting bored with me. Just have it in my head whether or not I was naughty or not yesterday. I went to the gym yesterday, did 55min CV work, the machines told me this was 888cal. yesterday apart from all the coffee I drink, I had a bowl of porridge, leaf, cucumber and tomato salad, dinner last night was with my OH and was courtesy of Tesco extra - half a chicken (skin removed) and probably 4 bread rolls. I know the rolls are bad, fresh bread is a weakness and I actually hadn't eaten bread for a few days. In context was I bad bad, or bad? I realise this is where I sometimes let myself down. I feel quite bad now.

JenPop Off topic but seem to remember that you got married in the Little Chapel of Flowers. We're looking into it at the moment and think it's got to be the best option for value and lack of tackiness! Did you go into the grounds at all? I'd love to do it outside if the weather is ok but don't know much about the grounds. Am sending OH to check it out next week as he'll be in Vegas with work!
Hi JenI
that is where we got married, we had a lot of our pics taken outside, and despite it being rainy they looked fab.
If I think on I may temporarily change my avatar to one of our wedding pics, so that you can see, PM me if you want me to e-mail a pic, although they will only be the ones dad took as we don't have negatives for originals they took!
Vid of ceremony good too- a little cheesy. My friend got married there too- that's how i met her as she was in our local paper as having got married there and i made contact with her to ask her what she thought, and she too loved it.WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030 -
