Feeling a bit down because I have stayed the same two weeks running now.

Trouble is I have made it worse by comfort eating!!!!

Right, that's it, no more messing!

Tomorrow is another day and I will get back on track!

Well done to all those who have lost weight this week!

  • Was hoping for a 100% week this week but have caught a nasty flu. I thought the tickly throat was caused by overzealous use of stardrops at the weekend but unfortunately not..... I've spent most of today in bed and feeding benylin 4 flu into me.

Haven't really been all that hungry but I know I need food when I start to feeling like I'm going to throw up... so convenience food all the way today - :o

Don't have a stroke consultant 31, I'm not talking of fast food outlets or anything - cereal for breakfast, tinned rice pudding for lunch and tomato soup and a cheese sandwich for dinner. - old fashioned mummy comfort food. Probably not the best choices but I really didn't feel up to much more. Hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow but since I work in the NHS, I think I'll be better off taking another () day off sick - I don't want to infect anyone who's immunity is already low.

Any ideas for easy (I mean 2 minute) slimming world meals... and please don't suggest fruit. I just couldn't look at it at the minute.

    Good luck this week everyone.

    Lois,

Do you have a degree in diplomacy ! That was excellent - Couldn't have put it better myself.
You probably won't read replies to your post though - we've had people who've posted before, telling us how easy it is to lose weight, only to disappear without a trace
    .

I've noticed this happens quite often too, but I always try to think that they're posting with the best of intentions and not to insult us.... (doesn't always work though!:rotfl:)

My problem is the people who all think it's so simple, Life frequently gets in the way of your master plans (like the flu!) and knocks you off on a side road. - Those people who find it so easy are usually men with few responsibilites (excepting you, Suggs - you're an honorary girlie! - OH says I just gave you a kick in the nuts ! not true!:A) I have a male friend who weighs over 20 stone and is over 6ft tall - he frequently goes on diet fads and gets obsessed with going to the gym etc.(up to 4 hours a day) to the detriment of his family life (I have to add that this person works away from home 4 days and nights a week). There has to be some kind of balance.... the scenic route is the best route in the long run.... if we don't make mistakes, how are we going to learn to do things differently?

    Hi,

Sorry if i sounded too preachy in my post-i was just trying to convey that we underestimate the role of thought processes and weight loss. Whenever people mention obesity all that gets mentioned is what foods to eat/exercises to do and not tackling the reasons why people eat in the first place or how to get motivated not to cheat/overcome internal/external barriers. I think the government need to employ more life coaches not nutritionalists etc. (I am a life coach-ha ha)

Well done to all you 'losers'!!!!!!
  • Aw delly, hope you feel better. I can't think of anything which takes just two mintutes but maybe you could nuke a jacket potato and have some beans with it. Takes a few more mins but you really just have to press start on the microwave (you can even nuke the beans).

Bad luck on the lack of losses Minerva. I know how you feel at the moment. Hope you get back into it this week (you don't fail at anything until you stop trying and you're still trying!).

Oh dear tallgirl. We all seem to be suffering from some evil force that is making us eat stupid things! Today will be much better!!
  • Went to the new SW class last night (after actually managing to find theblasted thing this time!!). It was REALLY busy and dragged on a little but the consultant person said she's trying to get people to arrive on time so that it stops finishing later than it ought. She seemed quite nice as well which is good.

I bought a 10 week countdown and hope to be a stone lighter by the time the 'free' weeks run out! I'm going to try and read the whole food optimising book again tonight and treat myself like a beginner (will weigh all the HEs!!!!).

Unfortunately am very busy this weekend and will have to be careful about organising food. I've already accidentally increased my syns today by having to go round my OH's parent's house where i'll be served veggie lasagne (so won't be too bad as long as i stick to a small portion). I'm going to the red bull airrace tomorrow (as long as the weather is ok) which'll be great (as long as i remember to pack lots of healthy food!).

    Have a good friday all!

Just a quick note to say thanks for all the lovely posts today it is nice to see how encouraging everyone is. Working from home today again which is going to be quite boring but will try to stay away from temptation and be good. Take care all, hope my new picture works.

Have been reading everyones post, keep up the good work......

Am not doing too bad myself for saying, but have a small question to ask...... When you go away on holiday, do people still be careful of forget about it until they come back?

    Hello everybody

I hope that you are all doing well and feeling positive.

I did tae bo and Rosemary Connely dvd yesterday- about 10 hours apart though! Feel good today and treated myself to some chocolate raisins- I'm sure they are good for you really! Anyway i thoroughly enjoyed them.

Today we are going camping for the weekend and hope to keep well within my points. It's our first family camping experience but i'm quite nervous. Not just that I feel bad as I can't work tonight which means there are no Youth workers patrolling the project that is running in Haverhill.

Problem is that I was supposed to go camping tomorrow with my youngest daughter, my OH and oldest daughter would be going on ahead tonight but I have no childcare for youngest tonight, I can't take her to work with me and OH won't take the pair of them on his own, so i've e-mailed boss to say i can't work but none the less I feel pretty bad! Feel like I'm skiving!
