Suggs 13 times that is amazing I have only many an average for once a week which is poor so well done. What you like doing at the gym? Do you have a programme or do you follow classes. I struggle with my motivation if I am not booked into a class and due to changing hours I cannot always pre-book.
Honey can i join you on the syns list I have just eaten 4 cheese twists and I really could just have cooked dinner early. Tomorrow is another day and fingers cross you sell that house quickly - mynext door neighbours took 9 months to sell and only had 2 offers.
Well I better be off now to cook dinner - take care all of you and be goodSave £12k in 25 No 49

Theres a lot of talk in the news about obesity and tackling it but i think that we need to start looking at the psychology of losing weight as opposed to telling people what types of foods to eat/how to exercise. There are a million and one exercise vids/diets/machines etc and i've tried most of them but then i realised that paying £400 to join a gym wont lose me weight-making the choice to go regularly and being dedicated will. My advice to anyone wanting to lose weight (i've lost just under 3 stone in 11 weeks-and i wasnt huge!) is to sit down and write the reasons why they want to lose weight, what is the best way to do it, what could interfere with your plans (internal and external barriers-and how you can overcome each of them), and set a goal for each week.
Good luck and remember there are always choices-whether to eat comething or not, whether to go to the gym or not. Its making the right ones!;)0 -
That practically makes it day in, day out. Brilliant!

No, it is not. Becoming a microsurgery specialist would be much easier for me. And my main reason is health. Only my body doesn't feel like being so healthy. I can make the best choices in the world, but in the end I must rely on what my body does.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -
Welcome to Alyssa-mae and well done on your first weeks weight loss.
Rachael don't woory too much, it doesn't sound to me as though you did badly at all on your trip.. They do say if you follow the SW plan 100% for 5 days out of 7 you will still lose weight :T The bloating is probably because you ate food your body hasn't had for a while, if you drink lots of water, that should go away quite quickly. I have a recipe for stew and couscous dumplings which is free on a green day. I'll post it in the recipe section.
Mrs Yatesy excellent news about the stopping smoking. It's a big step especially with slimming at the same time. Give yourself a big pat on the back - you deserve it :T
Well done to everyone who's lost weight - not to mention the ones who've been on holiday and only put a little bit on. One of my members put on 13½ lbs in 2 weeks - she got stuck back into the plan straight away and lost 6 lbs the following week!!!
Suggs You're an inspiration, good on you :beer:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

You've done very well to lose so much weight so quickly. Without trying to discount your achievement, I wonder if you will keep it off so easily.
I lost 4 stones+ in a very short time, but it's not a healthy way to do it, and I found it very hard to maintain as I had not really learned any new eating habits. Most of us need to lose at a steady 1 - 2lbs a week in order to retrain our body into the healthy eating way of life.
SW tell us that it's not down to will-power, but to choice-power and while that is true, it's easier to say than to do.
People on this board are all trying hard to lose weight, with life often getting in the way, please don't try to tell them that choosing not eat something is simple, because it isn't simple for everyone!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Suggs: Well done. Especially with all the driving you do at weekends to see your children! You're an inspiration.
Take care. lisele0 -
Rachael - I agree with consultant about yourbody bloating cos you ate food it hadnt had for a while. Last week we had a party in work and I ate a small portion of dessert with fresh cream. It killed me, enough to put me off. I hadnt eaten anything that rich in good long time.
Viewers all away and house back to "normal" again. Am only getting to have dinner now - just made some SW chips (you never tire of them sure you don't!??).0 -
Just a quick one to say thanks to everyone - you have succeeded in bucking me up and making me feel loads better. Especially Suggs - cheers sweetie!
Had Quorn sausages, beans and 2 waffles for tea - only 6 syns in total I think and it was proper comfort food! Just what I needed after all of the fiddly food I eat when I'm away on business! You can take the girl out of the valleys but you can't take the valleys out of the girl!
Am aiming to go to the gym tomorrow after work so should make me feel fab again if not a bit knackered - I'm getting back on the horse!!
Thanks again - you're a bunch of superstars!

Hi all - hope you've had a good day.
Croboy - thanks for your advice, and well done for your excellent weight loss. You're preaching to the converted here though - what do you think we're all doing if it isn't convincing ourselves not to eat unhealthy foods, and to get more exercise? Our results are well documented - take a look at the 2 pound weight loss club chart and as you'll see, the people on this thread have a combined weight loss of over 400 pounds. You probably won't read replies to your post though - we've had people who've posted before, telling us how easy it is to lose weight, only to disappear without a trace. Regular posters here provide support and encouragement to others, and recognise that losing weight isn't easy - if it was do you think obesity would be so common?
Steps down off soapbox.
Alyssa-Mae - welcome to the thread, and to the 2 pound clubyou've probably read up about it already and know that I usually post the updated chart on a Monday, however just for this week I'm going to do it on Sunday. What day is your SW weigh in?
Honey - hope you enjoyed your caramel square yesterday, is that the kind with shortcake on the bottom, caramel in the middle and chocolate on the top? Mmmm lovely - there can't be many syns in one of those can there?(yes I am jealous - I love them!) Good luck with the house - I hope one of your viewers makes a decent offer and is ready to move.
Suggs - your gym record is impressive - well done! Was it all the worry about having gained a pound and then maintained? It certainly did the trick anyway.
Rachel - stop beating yourself up about your break in Prague, we all have to loosen the corsets sometimes, and there's nothing worse than going on holiday with a diet bore. Once you get back on track you'll be fine.
Mrs Yatesy - good for you for giving up the dreaded weed, smoking is far worse for people than being overweight. :T
I had a good day today, I took some home made pasta salad to work for lunch, and felt so full after it that I didn't eat anything else - usually I snack on fruit, mullerlight etc, but they're all still at work ready for tomorrow.
