Well I've been away since Friday night (kind of last minute thing) and have been a bit of a naughty girl ... :/

BUT I weighed myself tonight and I have only gained 2lbs which is great (I subscribe to Suggs' weight loss method ... LOVE IT!) ;)

Haven't read through all the replies since I was away, sorry - I hope to get round to them later on but have a mountain of laundry/tidying to get through in the meantime so only here for a quick scoot round. Hope everyone is having a fab week and here's a gentle botty-prod for anyone who would like it!

Chin up Fox - think of how well you have done to get to target, as Lois says. I dont get periods either but can always tell when I would be due to and would either maintain or gain during this time. That may well be it in your case. You have just maybe hit a plateau - keep going, it will start moving soon. One girl at our class was the same weight for 3 weeks - (her first 3 weeks incidentally) and lost 8lb this week. Maybe your body is on strike - and will start again once the kids go back to school. Have you tried changing around your healthy extra's - I know consultant31 recommended this to someone else on this board

Tallgirl - enjoy the gym and Eels - away anywhere nice?

not so happy today either. Must be pms. I look in the mirror and I think I am definitely two sizes bigger. I feel like a walrus! At least I am resisting the temptation to weigh.

Hi Cheekymole - MK is right!

There's some information here about parking at the bowl - unfortunately I don't think anywhere is free, you're looking at anything from £5 upwards (they do like to make money from motorists in this city that was supposedly designed with the car in mind  ) One thing we are good at here is providing safe places for pedestrians, called Redways, which are away from the main roads so you can enjoy the landscaping and not have to suffer the exhaust fumes. The station is a good place to park, and only about 20 minutes walk from the bowl, but they charge £6.50 a day.

Enjoy Robbie! I'll keep my fingers crossed for a fine day for you.

sorry totally not weight loss related but I parked near the railway station for Take That, after 6pm it was free and was along the redways 20 min or so walk, all lit up and had people all along patrolling- It was next to a leisure thing and an Argos- does this ring any bells with anyone??

    Hello everyone,
wait for it.......I'm now ..............................................under 11 stone, wooooo hooooo! I lost 3.5lbs over the last two week so as you can probably tell I'm happy. I now have 2lbs to be at my healthy BMI range and then I can chose a goal weight and no longer have to pay to be weighed once I get to it, what a bonus!

I think I may aim for 10stone 7lb as my goal as that is at the top half and where I think I would be best until after I try for baby no3.

Why is it though that I still have my dodgy mirror glasses on- I feel like I'm looking at a hall of funny mirrors at the fair and still think I look huge!

Jen - you and I are so similar - except I put on this week. Thats the weight I want to me and I think we started on the same weight too! (are you my twin??)
When you say you need to lose another 2lb to be at your healthy BMI range and then can pick your target - is that something you were told in class? Noone has ever asked me what I want my target to be, nor do I know how to go about telling someone. Doh!

Hi Jen - yes that's right. There will be loads of signs for pedestrians making their way from the station or other areas around the Bowl, and people patrolling, as you say.

Back on topic - well done for your weight loss and getting through the FINAL stone barrier :T:j

I think the fairground mirrors thing is typical of many women, and the reason why people get eating disorders is because many of us have a poor self-image (it's not only women of course, some men suffer too). I don't have any solutions to it, although counselling could be an option. Do you get complimented on your weight loss by your OH, family, friends, etc, and if so do you take their comments on board or just think they're being kind?

Trying to focus on what you think of as your good points, rather than the areas you dislike might help you to be more positive about the 'new you'. Don't forget that pregnancy also changes your shape and sadly, although you may return to the weight you were pre-babies, you might not look quite the same.

You've done really well! Give yourself a pat on the back!

well done Jen! Been away all bank holiday weekend so it took me ages to get caught up with all your news. Glad to see the Feegles are getting about - I like their turn in Lords and Ladies where they 'steal coobeasties'. One under each foot and away! Lost 1.2kg this week, yay! Was planning a SW brownie binge to celebrate but after having spent an hour making them they all went straight uin the bin. They were revolting!!!!!! I got them off the bodyoptimise website, they're made with prunes and funnily enough, taste just like . . . prunes. bleaagh!! Am now off to check the recipe thread on here for some better syns, although that lemon meringue 'pie' has got me going . . . . glad to see so much fun on here and lots of weight being lost
