Consultant31 - I don't work to live, I work to go on holiday! ;) And yes, I do live in a lovely part of the world - although lots of people don't agree (it's often described as a concrete jungle with loads of roundabouts, where everywhere looks the same, but only by people who don't live here - any guesses?)

Lois I had sort of guessed you were from the Stoney neck of woods? Was I that wrong? Im along the road from you, ok 8 odd miles along the road. I actually thought I knew you at one point.

Oooh Lois, a question for you (I had posted on Milton Keynes page)

Where can I park for free on 14th September in order to see Robbie, or can I park at a nearby train station etc

    HELP!!!!

and I'm gonna look really stupid if you don't actually live in MK (I blame the celery)

Whens the 14th? a Thursday? Parking in MK Station might be possible, its £5 or £6 to park. As regards freebie parking I know its been discussed http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=246801&page=2 But I wouldn't recomend parking in the streets, just in case.

I will keep an eye out though, I would offer to let you park in my drive, but its a 10 minute drive to the bowl from mine, sorry.

Well done Delly on that 1lb. Its nice when you get to go out, have a good time and still lose weight!

Suggs- you should set up a park and ride service for the concerts - money saving tastic :money: :money:

No more joking about celery after weighing in last night and maintaining! Despite some bad meals (well there was a pub lunch and then the dreaded biscuits) I thought i'd generally been good enough to compensate and still lose something. Sigh.

Will definately lose this week though. Half a piece of celery and a slice of raw carrot a day from hereon. :D

PS Thanks for making me laugh all!

Jen - a maintain is far better than a gain, good for you.

SW chips for lunch, haven't had them in ages and now I'm back on track will no doubt overdose on them (as well as the celery)
    I haven't got one!

Hi Cheekymole - MK is right!

There's some information here about parking at the bowl - unfortunately I don't think anywhere is free, you're looking at anything from £5 upwards (they do like to make money from motorists in this city that was supposedly designed with the car in mind  ) One thing we are good at here is providing safe places for pedestrians, called Redways, which are away from the main roads so you can enjoy the landscaping and not have to suffer the exhaust fumes. The station is a good place to park, and only about 20 minutes walk from the bowl, but they charge £6.50 a day.

Enjoy Robbie! I'll keep my fingers crossed for a fine day for you.

I am totally crushed. I gained 1.5 yesterday after sticking 100 per cent to the plan. That means I was stuck at the same weight for three weeks and now this, I am also still carrying my holiday weight. I am just in target. I always keep a food diary. I had bread every day last week and I never normally eat nimble, so it may be that. This week I am trying success express. I measure all my healthy extras. I can't wait for the schools to come back so I can exercise again. I only ever eat a couple of syns a night but I like big portions of everything else. I make most of my food so I know exactly what was in it. I stayed for the meeting last night, it just seems so unfair. I don't think it's hormones, but I can't be sure as I do not get periods.

hmm I wonder if we do know each other - that would be funny! I'll have to pm you to see if we've got places in common, jobs etc. I did work in HR for a company that employs lots of people so we may have crossed paths there at some point :)

I have had a bad day today, back on the road and felt I needed to stop for a coffee. Tried to pursuede myself I didn't need but was nodding off behind the wheel a bit. Got my Latte and a carrot cake with Walnuts - It was really nice but A I didn't need it and B it was only because I was on expenses I would pay £5 for a coffee and cake. Oh why can't I resist....

I am determinded to get to the gym tonight not been for ages so that might help. Hope you are having a better day than me ...

Aw fox (((hugs))) - don't be downhearted.

If you normally exercise more than you are at the moment, it will be affecting your weight, so once you have the kids off your hands again you'll be able to get stuck into your exercise programme and the weight will start coming off again. Remind yourself how well you've done to get to target and give yourself a pat on the back for that - you deserve it! :T
