I looked up Smarties cookies - 7.5 syns each, Not as bad as I had thought so the day isn't a gonner and can be salvaged. Veg stir fry for tea to make up for it. Might even add some delicious and nutritious (sp?) celery to it!!
Has anyone got the new SW mag - lots of lovely recipes in it - gonna give some a bash - the brownies look goooood!

Good luck with weigh in Jenpoptab - let us know how you get on!

Suggs - we're talking about characters in a series of books by an author called Terry Pratchett. (have a look at Madauri's avatar to see what they look like).... they're a kind of pixie only scottish (pixtie) who's main purpose in life is fighting and getting drunk. They were thrown out of fairlyand for fighting and being drunk at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. They think that they're dead and when they're killed they're going off to be born somewhere else. Their names are usually quite mad - for example "No as big as big jock but no as wee as wee jock jock" It's quite a good laugh.... look out for 2 books called "A Hat Full of Sky" and "The Wee Free Men". - it'll take your mind off food.

Which means that yes, our days are mainly... blue. :D

And yes, a good book is excellent to keep the fridge door closed. Especially if it keeps you fit... I mean in fits of laughter ;)

    Hi all

Honey - I did feel for you with your baby going to school, I remember how that feels very well, it's a biggie! Pleased to hear you didn't succumb to comfort eating. :T

Thanks for the show suggestions Tallgirl - I've actually booked tickets for Chicago (2-4-1 thanks to this website :D). I've seen Starlight Express and loved it. Yet to see Mamma Mia, but as a closet Abba fan I'm sure I'd love it.

Delly/Madauri - I did wonder what the pair of you were on about, and was quite surprised at the new avatar! I've heard from numerous sources how good Terry Pratchett is, I think I'm going to have to give it a go to find out for myself! Maybe I'll take a copy to Torquay with me.

Consultant31 - I don't work to live, I work to go on holiday! ;) And yes, I do live in a lovely part of the world - although lots of people don't agree (it's often described as a concrete jungle with loads of roundabouts, where everywhere looks the same, but only by people who don't live here - any guesses?)

Cheekymole (stands to attention and salutes) - reporting for duty SAH! ;)

Jen - had to laugh at your tiny nearly invisible text - I would have missed it too if it hadn't been for Honey! I can't resist biscuits once I get started, but my downfall at the moment is dried fruit and nut assortment. OH discovered that the local shop has made a mistake with their EPOS, which means he can buy two large bags, plus two bags of salted peanuts for little more than £1, and I keep 'helping' him to eat them. Nuts are low GI, but not low fat!

    ...where's that celery... :A

Where can I park for free on 14th September in order to see Robbie, or can I park at a nearby train station etc

    HELP!!!!

and I'm gonna look really stupid if you don't actually live in MK (I blame the celery)

Ok, ok... I confess. I had four sticks of celery on Sunday. Triple choc.
But I swear I had some biscuits first.

Cos I can't stand celery:rotfl:..... I usually binge on a carrot stick or two. Does that count?

By the way, had my weigh in tonight - another 1lb off!:j And that's despite acting like a nac mac feegle on Saturday night (drinks at SIL's hen thingy) and eating too much at mum's on sunday! I really think alcohol helps my weight loss.... ()

Think I might set up my own weight loss club.... and call it Drink watchers diet and sickness world (in honour of Fr. Jack!).
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

madauri - be very careful we don't want and overdosers on here.

Delly - well done on that lb. I might have to switch to carrots or I could give the alcohol a go. (oh yeah, I already do that one!)
