Well done jenpop! And well done Katie!
I think i'm suffering again. No biscuits thankfully (made oh take them into work so he can eat them without me having access) but instead, yesterday had a really good food day up until around 9pm (had used all my HEs and mostly eaten free food) and then ruined it by suddenly snacking on a piece of toast and TWO bowls of shreddies. I really wanted chocolate but we don't have any in the flat. I don't know why i had to have TWO blummin bowls. One would have been a lot less damage and much easier to fix. In all yesterday's syn total was around 40
I'm going to have to spend the rest of the week being an angel to try and fix it now
Can anyone lend me some willpower before i start whinging about not losing any weight next week?
Hurrah for being a new, syn free, day today! Have a good one all.0 -
Morning all,
JenIttels, I know exactly how you feel. My food has been a bit off-track for a couple of days.
Saying that, I've somehow lost another 2 lbs. I'd been scared to weigh myself so haven't for ages and I've somehow lost weight. I think it's because I've been making a point of exercising more. Did "Pump it Up" exercise dvd last night and it is much harder than my running. I'm a little sore in places I didn't know had muscles.
Take care. lisele0 -
JenIttles and Liesle I am right behind you on will power not only did I have the carrot cake yesterday I also had a BigMac for dinner as there was nothing to cook when I got back from gym. It really really sucks but as you say today is a new day and maybe that is how we need to view it.
Kattiep what a shame about the Brownies and all that effort. I am not a great one for making low fat things would probably just eat less of the real version but then again I am not following a diet.
Goal for today to be really good and stay away totally from junk food.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Lois_Lane wrote:I think the fairground mirrors thing is typical of many women, and the reason why people get eating disorders is because many of us have a poor self-image (it's not only women of course, some men suffer too). I don't have any solutions to it, although counselling could be an option. Do you get complimented on your weight loss by your OH, family, friends, etc, and if so do you take their comments on board or just think they're being kind?

Thanks for you comments. People have started to comment on how well I look and how well I am doing, I tend to find compliments difficult and am still in the habit of buying a size 14 even when it was too small I did it, I tried some clothes on in peacocks the other week and took a 12 and 14 to changing room, I tried the 12 first and much to my amazement it fitted, so I treated myself. Top half is still bigger but is only a 14 so I'm rather pleased. I took a size 18 top in on my sewing machine the other day- 2 inches either side. My rings fell of my fingers as I threw some clothes down the stairs the other day so I am having to be careful with them- I think I'll carry the clothes to the washing machine in future!WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030 -
fox2319 wrote:I am totally crushed. I gained 1.5 yesterday after sticking 100 per cent to the plan. That means I was stuck at the same weight for three weeks and now this, I am also still carrying my holiday weight. I am just in target. I always keep a food diary. I had bread every day last week and I never normally eat nimble, so it may be that. This week I am trying success express. I measure all my healthy extras. I can't wait for the schools to come back so I can exercise again. I only ever eat a couple of syns a night but I like big portions of everything else. I make most of my food so I know exactly what was in it. I stayed for the meeting last night, it just seems so unfair. I don't think it's hormones, but I can't be sure as I do not get periods.
Please don't be too worried. These things happen for no reason at all and though I know it's depressing, if you stick to it, it'll all start to move again soon. The main thing I would suggest is that you completely stop having bread for a week. Several of my members (and myself) have noticed that bread seems to make us retain water. Give it a week and see what happens. Don't cut back on your portions, it's not necessary, and try to have a few more syns (at least 5 a day). It is unfair, but I'm sure it'll start to come off soon
Honey If you want to set a final (or interim) target, you just need to let your consultant know. She will mark it on your weight record card and that's that! If you don't know what you want yet, that's fine too, there's no pressure to make up your mind until you get there. In the back of your Food Optimising book there's a chart which gives you the 'ideal' weigh/height range if you want it (though you can feel free to ignore them).
Yay Jenpoptab just a few more pounds to target - well done :T
Madauri :rotfl: I'm sure you're just 'feeling that way out' as my mum would say.
Katie Well done on the 1.2kgs. I made the brownies and liked them, but then I love prunes (there's nowt so queer as folk :rotfl: )
Lisele What a result :T . Was the extra food worth the pain of the exercise :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
honey28 wrote:Jen - you and I are so similar - except I put on this week. Thats the weight I want to me and I think we started on the same weight too! (are you my twin??)
When you say you need to lose another 2lb to be at your healthy BMI range and then can pick your target - is that something you were told in class? Noone has ever asked me what I want my target to be, nor do I know how to go about telling someone. Doh!
I may be your twin- somebody said I had a doppleganger- is that what you call it? when I lived in Liverpool, a bloke I knew swore I had walked past him but it couldn't have been me as I was elsewhere that day. Honey I bet you'll do really well this week, good luck!
The lady at WW mentioned the target- goal weight yesterday, had briefly read it in books but didn't think too seriously about it as it seemed not possible at the start.WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030 -
wow Jen, sounds like you're making some serious progress. It's really helping me to see how everyone is progressing, and how you all recover from bad weeks and stuff. I'm going to to try the SW chocolate mousse next week so hopefully that will rstore my faith! I decided to make some proper brownies affter the SW disaster. Cut them into really small pieces - like 3cm square and then synned them out. 12 syns each. Just as well they weren't for me! I was dead good too - got the OH to lick the bowl and eat all the crumbled ones instead of doing it myself. . . . .0

Hi all,
Jen - congratulations, you are doing so well!! I am playing catch up on 3 days of messages so well done to everyone who has done well!
I put on half a pound this week, I had people over Friday, and Saturday and Monday and Tuesday was my husbands 40th so I drank some more alcohol (as if Saturday wasn't quite enough!!!) and ate lots of birthday cake so I am not complaining. However - it has taken me to X stones 13 pounds ......... so now I know that if I put any more on I'll cross the next stone and that is something I swore I would not do, so this week I am on super well behaved menu! I have planned every meal, thrown out the leftover cake and planned my gym / Davina dvd in the week. :A
I have a wedding in two weeks and so I need to lose this week to allow a little room for the wedding if I get a bit daft!
I have also given up smoking, for the last time............ 5 days so far and no craving so I am hoping the next time I have a drink in my hand I wont give in to wanting one. We are changing the life policies to non smoking in a months time so I have no choice!!!
Have a good week!Misguided maybe, but never really bad!! :A0 -
good luck mrs yatesy i'm sure you'll do great in the next few weeks and will look great at the wedding.
katiepoppycat the brownies sound good but not that good to blow it all! I bet the mousse is much better! I did a WW mousse a little while ago that was yummy, however my favourite dessert at the mo is meringue nest topped with angel delight and raspberries- delicious! low in points too, dead quick and easy!
Can't remeber if i said- I got my WW keyring for 10% loss from start, Very nice it is too.WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030 -
oh yeah, (sorry another post), I have done 30 mins of Billy Bank's Tae Bo dvd this morning. I really enjoyed it and feel great for doing it, OH may give it a go tonight. He lost 4lbs last week, so he has lost about half a stone and I'm really proud of him. He has a fair bit of weight to lose. To get to the top of his BMI healthy range he needs to lose 7 stone ish, but I think if he can just get a stone or half a stone off in baby steps it will do him the world of good.WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030
