If I'm still maintaining then I am going to take in my food diary. It's quite irritating as I just want 2 lb off. My body seems to want to stay put.
Success Express isn't a very restricted diet. I wonder if you're thinking of Fast Forward - that's very restricted and would have to be given to you by your consultant. SE is just another plan (like the Mix2Max) which you can try any time. If you have the newer purple Food Optimising book, it's towards the back (after the Syns section). If you have the older blue FO book, you should have received the extra booklet in your pack. There's nothing to stop you having lots of food, it's just a different way of putting it together, and may just help to shift those last stubborn pounds.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hello all
I haven't posted for a few days. Well done to all who have lost this week.
I am still feeling positive and although I did have a bit of a naughty evening with some maltesers last night, I still feel confident for a loss this week. How is everyone else feeling? Especially as Bank Hols usually lead to friend/ family do's with lots of food etc.
Good luck everyone.WW Gold Member, trying to maintain !!!Hayden born July 07Tabitha born April 05Poppy born July 030 -
Hi Everyone,
I'm glad your feeling positive Jen - I have to say I'm feeling the same way. I had a hen night last night and although it was definitely a flexible syns day I still think I did well. No starters, shared dessert and stayed away from the fried potatoes. My dinner was delicious - portugese oven baked steak in a tomato & herb sauce. I think I might try to re-create it at home it tasted so good. I'll let you guys know how it goes and pass on the recipie if it works out. I had a few wee drinks too but because I had steak for dinner I didn't drink as much as I usually do - 2 (literally) glasses of wine - shared a half bottle with a friend and 2 orange wkd (I know, high in sugar but I wanted to stay away from the bacardi and dc cos I needed to avoid the caffine)
Rachel - don't worry about a treat here or there - it only means that you're taking the scenic route with your weighloss instead of the expressway... Much easier way to live and definitley easier to sustain in the long term. - well done on the bargains - I got a few myself yesterday too.
BTW - I am back in my pre-pregnancy JEANS:j how cool is that.
Madauri - how did the chicken korma go - was it good? I must get myself organised to make a syn free curry sauce tommorrow.
Off for dinner this afternoon at my mum's house () there's always loads of goodies there but I'm still feeling so stuffed from last night I'm hoping I'll be able to resist temptation.
Tomorrow is a family fun day for OH's work - it's always good for a laugh. There'll be bbq and salad as well as a funfair (but I'll avoid the sweeties, popcorn and candy floss like the plague).
Be good everyone, and have a great bank holiday weekend

Hello everyone, hope you're all ok.
Have resisted postedfor a bit as ti's all going a bit pear shaped at the moment
Firstly I lost half a pound this week, which is fine but I got annoyed with myself as after our family party t'other week, I put a pound on from one evening of a very non ww dinner, and now its taking me two weeks to lose it grrr.
Also went to a party last night, I still all my opints for the week so was planning to drink them, had a big tea before I went but unfortunately that didn't work very well as I ate from the buffet and some cake which was so nice....drool. I know that I've gone totally over my pointsIf I think about positively though I noticed that I only ate half of what I would normally at these things.
Ughh. Feel vile today. Alcohol doesn't agree with me at the best of times but since I've started WW doesn't seem to agree with me at all.0 -
Oh dellybelly, the chicken was too good... I ate it all!
So next week I will make a prawn curry, which is completely free.:p
I must check how to convert those recipes so that I can make them in my slow cooker... that would be great, to have such lovely dishes ready when I come from work, instead of spending an hour cooking in order to eat something decent. It tires me!
I haven't been using my slow cooker during the summer at all, since it was too hot for my usual hot pots -delicious, but too heavy for such weather. But the slow cooker season is open again for me :T'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -

Hello all - hope you are all having a great weekend. Sun has been out all day and I managed my first 18 holes in 3 weeks. So nice to be out playing again and I didn't play that badly. As jenpoptab says it is harder over the weekends as you get more tempted with food etc but I feel I am being good as I am going to have played 48 holes of golf my Monday lunchtime. That is over 10 hours of walking etc so that must have shifted a few calories.
Rachel Prague is lovely, I went there in 1998 before the Communist fall but I hear it is still great. Lovely larger and nice fatty Germanic type food. Anyway I am sure they have more sophisticated cuisine now but I would be careful with those high heels as they have a lot of cobbled streets.
Maduari you sound like a real good cook I do not own a slow cooker but my mother in law does. Is it quite easy to use, I book a nice stew but it does take 2 hours so not so great when you get home about 6. I would imagine a curry in a slow cooker would be fab but I think the prawns would get over cooked. I am away a lot or go to the gym and don’t fancy cooking so I make a big batch of bolognaise sauce and freeze, my hubby then just has to heat it up and cook the pasta for me when I get in. I would image that would cook well in a slow cooker too.
Lois Lane I can’t wait to weigh myself tomorrow I feel so cheated I could not do it last week due to being away and fingers crossed I can add to the total loss for the week.
Having a quiet night in I think, US golf is on and we are playing golf at 8.30am tomorrow so better not be too late. I think I shall have to ease up on the white wine like Pug-in-the-bed says having a heavy head is horrid. I have been drinking too much lately so will try the one drink then water. I don’t really like soft drinks so hopefully that will help. This is getting too long, must go, got several things on Ebay ending tonight hoping to get rid of some fashion mistakes.

Oh, I was thinking more about meat curries. My slow cooker gets the food ready in 4 or in 8 hours, which is ideal for me because I can switch it on before leaving for work and when I come back the house smells delicious. And I can use the cheaper bits of beef because this way the meat ends up really tender and tasty. It's great!
Try drinking your wine slowly. Get some good quality one and enjoy its flavour, try to find out how many different notes you can find in it, stop to ponder the reactions of your brain to the taste...

Was going with the swap Dairy Milk for 70% plain choc plan, which went ok this week, but I had a 12 hr shift today, and managed to eat 2 slices white bread for breakfast, a Frijj choc milkshake, 2 packs of crisps and 4 bars of choc.
Um. Oops?
Edit: Oh yeah, and a Peters Pies sausage roll for lunch.0 -

Oops indeed :rotfl:
Sorry I can't remember if you're doing SW or not.
If you are the syns are 3½ per 28gms for the white bread + 8½ syns per 250ml bottle of chocolate Frijj + around 7 syns per pack of crisps + around 12 syns per 45gms chocolate (depending on the bar you had. All together making about 54 syns. If you're on 10 - 15 syns a day (70 - 105 per week) and you've not had too many on other days, it's still within your allowance.
The main thing is to get back on track tomorrow and all will be wellI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
