Thanks for the support and ideas of how to tackle the problem with my MIL smoking. I still feel kind of guilty... it's how she relaxes. I couldn't stay at home all day with DS so who am I to tell her to give up the ciggies (besides OH and SIL are going to tackle her about it - thankfully I'm out of the loop:j)
JenIttles - I had the same problem with the directions I got from the internet when I was first going to a SW class. I had a fair idea of where it was but the directions were confusing.... I followed them to a big brick wall behind the place where the class was being held, so I just followed my instincts and went the way I thought I should have... guess what? I was right and the net was totally off! (told the consultant though).

Congratulations Suggs! Go ahead!
I'm maintaining this week. My fault, since I've been way too flexible. I should be grateful at least I am not paying for my syns.:A
Today I'm cooking chicken Korma (3 syns/serving). I've never done it before, we'll see what happens...'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -

Dentist sounds ucky- think about it though - if your mouth hurts you can't eat!! (Although there's always icecream and baileys!)
Dentist was yucky, but all done now. not too sure about the baileys though
Enjoy Prauge, not sure if you have been before, but Charkes Bridge is lovely as is the old square and if you can manage the steps upto the castle you are one fit personI think its around 400 steps

In my role as devil's advocate I might suggest a lovely, frothy milkshake
Frothy Milkshake? I couldn't see a recipe for thatNormally its a banna or two in the blender with semi skimmed milk, is there a better idea??

Just been shopping with OH and went to Starbucks - I hate coffee so water for me, but succumbed to half of one of their chocolate chunk shortbread biscuit things. Walked around shopping for about 4 hours though so I'm hoping that will put pay to the syns/calories! I'm really fed up with myself because I wanted to be so good before going to Prague because I know it'll all go wrong there in one way or another.
On the up side - bought a lovely suede jacket reduced to 20 quid and a pair of killer stilletto heel boots (can't really walk in them but they look nice!)
Having curry for tea tonight.
May force myself to do some exercise later but I have to get up at 5am (on a SUNDAY!!!) for the flight.
Have a good weekend

Hi, everyone. Still half a pound above my original target, been at this for over 3 weeks. I put on 2 lb on holiday so I know I can lose it again! It's really frustrating. I've started to measure my soya milk which I have as a healthy A. We are getting the free eating out book at my class next week. I've tried jigging round my B choices but I seem to have hit a plateau. I think it's because it's the school holidays so I'm not working, I have two jobs usually. I'm a bit of a sloth when the kids are off. Last week I got on the scales and I had gained half a pound, I got back on and it was gone. So I said, 'I'll have that one, thank you!'. I'm being very careful so I want that last 2 lb off and then I can think about eating my extra healthy choice, maybe. Hope you all have a good week. Rachael Have a lovely holiday. Lucky you finding a bargain jacket. The boots sound as though they may indeed be 'killers', you'll look dead sexy even if you can't walk in them :rotfl:
Fox In order to kick-start the diet, you need to change everything possible, swapping your breakfast for fruit & yogurt perhaps instead of cereal. If you eat bread, try cutting it out completely for a week.
Have you tried drinking more water? Swapping your HEBs is a good idea and maybe you could have a go at Success Express.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
BREAKFASTS
Breakfast is the most important part of the diet. You can afford to eat more calories as this is the most active time of the day. I eat either wheat free muesili, porridge with semi skimmed milk and raisins, fruit and yogurt with seeds, wholemeal toast with jam/peanut butter, pancakes with wholemeal flour yogurt and fruit or a home made smoothie (on days when I can't face food). On holiday when everyone wants an english breakfast - I eat grilled turkey rashers and grilled tomatoes or mushrooms (better than fried) or poached egg on toast. Making an effort to eat breakfast gives you more energy and prevents snacking later on.A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist :j0 -
I am not sure if my leader would let me do succee express as I am in target. Besides, I like a lot of food. I don't usually eat bread, but I have been this week. I've tried eating a few more syns too, often I don't have any! i drink lots of fluid. We'll have to wait and see what the scales say. If I'm still maintaining then I am going to take in my food diary. It's quite irritating as I just want 2 lb off. My body seems to want to stay put.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0
