My oven is very tempramental, the back gets hot but the front doesn't so with most things I have to turn them half way through cooking otherwise one side is burnt and the other ir raw!Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I made some chocolate cupcakes with pink buttercream icing last night....yummy!
I want to try making profiteroles or chocolate eclairs, feeling a bit under the weather today so might try them tomorrow.
Shame my OH doesn't like them though, i'll have to eat them all myself:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

I honestly didn't think there was anything wrong with Nigella's recipe and I really wasn't in a position to know as I hadn't made her banana cake thingy before. I adapted it from necessity as I didn't have every single ingredient to hand, so I substituted for what I did.
By an absolute miracle of iron self-control I didn't inhale it all by myself so I took it over to my friends for afternoon tea yesterday and now they believe that I AM A GODDESS. Little do they know it's the probably the first thing I have baked in over a decade.
Tomorrow I shall be making Twink's lovely HobNobs recipe. I think I've got the bug!0 -

Today am making tacos so the local steak mince is currently cooking away with some finely chopped onion, will add peppers, sweetcorn and chilli sauce later, and serve with ready made tacos (not worked out how to make them yet!).
I'd love the raspberry cake recipe if you have time, it sounds delicious!0 -
I made some cinnaman biscuits and chocolate slices today. The latter wasn't that nice though, too chocolatey, which is weird because I love chocolate! Think happy & you'll be happy
