I made cup cakes using an AF mix for the first time. I used fairy cake size cases - got 18 out of the mix. 10 in freezer and 8 iced to eat. Total cost - 18 cakes - 60p.

Made chocolate chip cookies that were an absolute disaster! Decided to ignore the instructions that said to pop them in the freezer before cooking. Ended up with really thin cookies that stuck to the tray so now have pieces of cookies. They taste nice though and all is not lost as I could only put 2 trays in at a time so I have a tray in the freezer to cook another day that will hopefully turn out better. Kicking myself though as I had no time restrictions so could have popped them all in the freezer before cooking.0

A wholemeal loaf and my first attempt at croissants - they look a bit strange but smell as they should - the proof will be in the eating0

I baked a loaf yesterday, I forgot to salt it, and you can tell the difference in taste. At least there is always marmite. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0
