I've made bread, that's in the breadmaker, and i'm making a cake.
I've never made a cake before but while i was out i got a bag of reduced banans; i've had cocoa powder in the cupboard for a couple of years and i've added mixed nuts & raisins. I'm looking now how to do it, i was going to try in the Combi but have only ever used the microwave part, so searching for the instructions.
I scraped the bowl with my finger and it's very nice, so i could always have it cold and uncooked.

    Update:
I've found out how to turn it on. I've put 180 for 20mins, does that sound right ?
That was no where near enough, i raised it to 200 and put it back for another go. I thought you can always add but you can't take off.
So with blackcurrant jam & yoghurt. I'll be a big fat pig.

I have tried Weetabix cake for DS in order to use up a surplus of milk. Looking forward to trying it once it has cooled.

I've just pulled a tray of Twink's hobnobs out of the oven as I was out of sweet snacks and am slow-cooking a soup in there so it was on anyway.

I had the first one my favourite way: a square of chocolate dropped on top to melt over it in the time it takes for me to make a cup of tea. The rest will be hidden before the little boy wakes up from his nap (else there will be tantrums).

  • I have made bread in the machine and will be making some chocolate brownies to put in the oven when I cook the fish pie later today (I hate having only 1 item in my oven at a time so always cook something else to use up the space) :D

Florenceem, every recipe you have posted on here and the 'what are you making for dinner' thread has always been absolutely lovely (especially the egg and bacon pie one you kindly put up) so I am off to the kitchen to make this as both my DH and DD love apple and cinnamon. Thank you :D
