I've got a loaf of bread and a dozen butterfly cakes to do this morning.
Sister's visiting today and she often brings my hollow-legged 22 year old nephew with her who prowls the cupboards. I have to have something to deflect him.0 -

Spent the evening baking and got a bit carried away but cakes now cooled at last and packed away.
2 Chocolate Cakes
2 Pear and Ginger Cakes
And my first attempt at Lemon Curd Cake. It seems to have deflated a bit whilst cooling, but tastes good. Had to try it before OH discovers it when he gets up. I used up some out of date duchy lemon curd that was sitting in the back of the fridge. I think its much thicker than the normal cheapy stuff so perhaps that was the problem. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.0 -
Well baked two loaves over the last couple of days. Not much planned for a few days. Might do a cauliflower cheese depending on what is in my veg box today. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0
