Had some bananas on the turn and cheated with this (loosely termed) "recipe":

    2 bananas
small handful of blueberries (currently on aldi super6)
Tesco Value Sponge Mix (22p ish) made up with 1 egg and water as per pack instructions

threw mushed banana and blueberries in to the made up sponge mixture and poured into a greased loaf tin, 200 degrees for 40 - 45mins.

    delicious!!!

Think I may do it again with chocolate chips or some chocolate covered brazils we have left over from December!

Due to being signed of work with a RA flare, I actually have some use of my hands today so I have made a pineapple upside-down cake, a batch of shortbread and some butter biscuits! (Actually, the food-processor did most of the work!)

This should be re-named the mega delicious thread.

I have made pizza base - the recipe said it makes two but I made a giant one - and Twink's hobnobs. The BBC good food sent me an email for a salted caramel chocolate pie that has got Mr Taadaa's name all over it. He is like Elf, he only has sugary food groups. One for Valentine's, I think!
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

  • Well the idea was to work overtime yesterday and today, which I managed but when I walked through the front door I was mobbed by my DD12 & my DS6, which I loved. :D

As I don't get to spend much time with the kids I decided to read my DS6 a story, which turned out to be about honey cake (Winnie the pooh), so once story was finished DS6 pointed out the recipe for honey cake on the back page, so we ended up baking that.

TBH it tasted absolutely fantastic, but unfortunantly turned out a little dry.

The. Upside been is we get to do it again.
