Today's bakes: chocolate/peanut butter chip cookies and some chocolate fondants to (mostly) chuck in the freezer. Going to make some multigrain rolls tomorrow to go with my shop bought soup.

  • I've made chocolate cake and peanut butter cookies tomorrow.

Planning to make some home-made bread tomorrow- probably cheese and sundried tomato I think. I haven't made bread for ages.

Hi Ally, I have the same problem as you, a cold kitchen. I read a tip somewhere that proved to be the perfect solution. Simply heat up a cup of water in your microwave (if you have one), remove the cup and put your bread to prove in there. It stays warm for the time needed.

    Hope this helps :)
I do similar, I boil the kettle and put the boiling water in to a loaf tin in to the bottom of the oven.
I then put my dough in on the shelf an inch or so above.

  • Chocolate brownie cake last night. I'm actually in shock because it was so rich we only ate half of it between the 3 of us! Leftovers for dessert today :-)

    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Just done some twinks hobnobs for first time. Yummy. Then me n kids made conflake cakes with fudge n smarties on top.
  • As its raining outside and I am in the right frame of mind I am busy baking. Have made coconut cakes, flapjack and a victoria sponge so far as well as a loaf of bread. OH loves lemon curd tarts and I was wondering if I could make a big batch and freeze them or whether this would be a disaster?
  • Eight white rolls, and a Lardy cake for OH's pack up this week.
