Let's see. Some sort of apple traybake from Mary Berry that I hadn't done before, I trimmed off the edges to tidy it up and scoffed them and they were tasty :D Banana loaf currently in the oven to use up some minging bananas. It's a different recipe to the one I normally use so we'll see what it's like. And I'll do some chocolate muffins as well as DH's friend is coming over later and they both love them.

I got Delicious magazine yesterday (freebie!) and I'm dying to do the macaron recipe, I've wanted to make them for ages, but for some reason I'm terrified of getting them wrong and wasting lovely ground almonds and eggs. Anyone ever made them?

I made some Twinks biscuits which i've made a few times before with success. This time though I didn't use greaseproof paper and despite greasing the tray half of them stuck :( I rescued most, but they don't look as good as I wanted! Ah well, they still taste yummy. Any ideas for Twink crumbs?!

It was easy, love these recipes where you don't have to cream the butter and sugar, always find that a pain, this was really so easy, basically after melting the butter and syrup, everything just got mixed together.

Have had a wee taste now that it has cooled and it's lovely and OH approves too :T

they are nice layered with yoghurt and stewed apples, or just mix into yoghurt

I've made millionaires shortbread too. :D We've all just had a piece with a cup of tea. I've made some bread buns, they're just waiting to go in the oven, it's a new recipe so I'll have to wait and see how they turn out.

Also made a banana loaf using a slightly different recipe than normal....DS having some after his porridge for supper :). Looks nice and not too heavy as banana cakes/loaves can sometimes be! :).

half batch of twinks drizzled with chocolate - all now eaten by small boys
chocolate fudge cake from the GC links for tomorrow, for DS2 who thinks a fridge without chocolate cake is just wrong

I make almond macaroons, and pistachio ones. Both are lovely, cheaper still and just as nice are coconut ones.
