What have you baked today?

Mmmmm! Parkin. I've not had that for years and years. I've jotted down the recipe in the link for future reference. i.e. tomorrow, probably.

I've made a batch of Twinks Hobnobs and rang the changes by making some of the recipe as normal and added desiccated coconut to some and peanut butter to the rest. Fab!

Not so much today, just date scones, but we do love our scones, they stop us buying a coffee out when we go shopping as we have coffee and scone at home before we go, much nicer than what the shops often serve.

Today I made a lovely, creamy leek and potato soup, and bread rolls for tea.This was followed by chocolate brownie and cream! The chocolate brownie was a new recipe and worked out really well! It had cocoa powder and plain chocolate, and syrup which gave it a lovely chewy consistency!

Already have a carrot cake fresh out of the oven and a choc, fruit and nut crunch in the fridge and now contemplating a sticky ginger cake. The first two are going with my son down to the local football match as he is on St John's duty this afternoon.
