  • OH was looking at my old Be-ro book lastnight and commented how nice the coffee kisses looked (in other words, he was massively hinting that I should make them asap!) Are they nice/worth making?

Oh yes, they're lovely. I used some instant espresso powder rather than normal instant coffee granules, and I threw everything into the food processor to make the dough because I was being lazy and they came out lovely and took probably less than ten minutes from deciding to make them to putting the first lot in the oven. I'd definitely make them again. I also want to try a lemon version (with grated rind of one lemon and say a tablespoon of juice, and lemon buttercream), I think those would be lovely.
  • Thanks, they sound delicious! And I think the lemon flavour would work really well. Will def give them a try tonight :)

The usual granary loaf in the breadmaker woke me up smelling gorgeous this morning...who needs an alarm clock when you have the smell of warm bread wafting up the stairs? ;)

I sorted the dry goods cupboard this morning (flour and tins etc) and found some almonds that have been hanging around since 2006 according to the label so I have ground them down and making a bakewell tart for tea. Yum! :)
