Just about to bake a batch of flapjacks.
DD has just started school and will be staying for packed lunch for the first time on Thursday, so I thought I better start practising a fail-safe recipe as mine usually end up like bricks or too crumbly!
I also have some "Honey pops" cereal which nobody likes, so I am trying to incorporate some of those, crushed up in the flapjack mix without anyone noticing :rotfl:Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

I made some mini mocha cupcakes and chocolate whoopie pies for a boat trip with others this weekend. We gave a dozen to the in laws, and still have enough of the cakes left to see us through the week.Swagbucks Amazon gift vouchers 2014 125/250

Hi, baking pros!
First, a confession: I'm no good at baking. Everything I've tried in the past failed, so I've got performance issues.
I'd like to bake something successfully, so I thought I'd ask you all. I'm a gluten free person, which makes it trickier, but here's what I've got in cupboards etc:
Butter, sugar, honey, oats, gf flour, corn flour, baking powder, fast yeast powder, dried fruits, olive oil, eggs, bicarb soda, agave nectar, vanilla pod , vanilla extract and a variety of spices such as cinnamon etc.
Would any of you have a simple recipe for something easy that I could try baking please? I'd be ever so grateful, thank you0 -
We had several browning bananas in the fruit bowl, so i made banana cake with DS1 this morning, and filled it with cream cheese icing. Amazing, but i ate too much and could now sleep for a week...

I made four loaves of bread today. To make sure I don't run out I've decided that Monday, Wednesday and Friday are going to be bread baking days.
Yesterday I made the lemon curd slices from Ms Cupcakes vegan cake book. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe them!0 -

You could try Naan breads, they are very easy to make. I'm not sure the difference with gluten free flour but I assume it is OK?
450g Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 eggs, beaten
4 tablespoons Natural Yoghurt, beaten
2 tablespoons olive oil
150ml Water
Preheat oven to highest setting with a baking tray in the oven
Sieve the flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl. If you are using any other spices like garlic, coriander add them now.
Add the eggs, yoghurt and olive oil and mix with a fork.
Slowly add the water, mixing with a spoon
Knead the dough until smooth(takes 2 mins max). Rest the dough for 15 mins.
Dust the worktop, your hands and rolling pin with flour(very sticky!!). Divide dough into either 6 large Naan or 12 small.
Roll into shape, only need to be quite thin.
Take the tray out of the oven and "slap" the naan onto the tray
Bake in oven for 3 minutes.
Melt a little butter and brush over the naan( I usually put some fresh coriander in the butter whilst melting).
Done!
These freeze beautifully too!0 -
Does anybody know if there is a difference between the
Bosch MCM4100GB Food Processor and the
Bosch MCM4100
I've looked and there doesn't seem to be but I just want to be sure before buying, I see some advertised as 4100gb and others just as 4100.
The Bosch MCM4100GB is a Which Best Buy and that's the one I'm shopping for0 -
I made banana, coconut and cherry muffins from a Nigella recipe. We've had a death in the family, and I'm hoping they make a suitable gift. They didn't rise as much as I would have liked, but they are very tasty! We get so tired of banana bread, and these are a great alternative!Swagbucks Amazon gift vouchers 2014 125/250
