  • Hello, just typing it up on my blog at the moment. Will PM you the link by the end of day (don't want to break the rules of promoting on here). I'm not a massive blogger, it's pretty much for family and friends (and my brother who is terrible at remembering where he puts recipes :rotfl: ).

can you pm me the link please? sounds fab xx

  • Just made a huge batch of bread dough using a whole kilo bag of gluten free flour. So far I've made:
    8 tortillas
8 pitta breads (they puffed up! so proud :D)
A small sundried tomato and basil baton
I've used about half the dough. We are having a couple of friends over tonight so will make:
    Tomato & pesto topped flatbread
    Garlic-butter topped flatbread
A large mushroom & pepper pizza
    A large margarita pizza
May have leftovers, if so I will make burger buns.
A bag of doves farm gf flour is £1.70, so I think this whole dough will have cost about £2 to make. Pretty good considering Tesc0 has the audacity to charge £3 for a pack of 3 gf tortillas

Does anybody have any recipes for gluten free and preferably sugar free cakes?

I have not been told I have a gluten allergy (never been tested) but I don't eat bread and feel better without it. I bought some gluten free SR flour and made some fairy cakes and they were featherlight and very nice.

However, they did have butter and caster sugar (6oz each) and I would like to do something gluten free and sugar free if possible.

    Thanks.

It's my birthday tomorrow, and not sure if I should make a cake or not. Hubbs in taking me out to a meal with friends, and we are coming back here after. I'm not sure if he bought a cake, and I will feel silly having people in without anything to share with them. Maybe I'll do cupcakes as a happy medium..

Not technically baked as it does not involve an oven, but I made a batch of malteser traybake which goes lovely with a cup of coffee.
  • Can anyone tell me where to find the recipe for JJ's bread that I keep hearing about please? (possibly having a dim moment but can't seem to find it)

Today I baked chocolate courgette brownies, and a potato, courgette and herb frittata. All turned out lovely.

Go to September GC on OS - recipe index - in the bread section.
