Having been inspired by Paul Hollywood I decided to make a white bloomer loaf and a wholemeal loaf. I also made a Black Forest gateaux, all of which went down a treat. I have to say the white bread was the tastiest bread I've ever made. More time consuming than the bread maker but SO worth the extra effort

Don't normally come on this thread as I am not a baker as such but I have to gloat that I made a lovely steamed pudding (microwaved sponge) with orange and lemon syrup at the bottom. Nuked it until the sponge was not quite cooked then bunged it in t'oven with the sausage toad. Mmmmm.0

Yesterday I baked 2 loaves of Irish brown soda bread and a white focaccia. Mixed the white dough in the breadmaker, shaped and then baked in the oven. Both judged "delicious" by all 10 at sunday lunch! Going home to make another focaccia this evening0
