  • The plan is to bake the "mincemeat cake", a batch of melting moment biscuits, some cup cakes and a small ham joint for sarnies!
If you're not hungry, food isn't the answer!
  • I haven't joined in this thread for ages; how many times can I report baking a loaf of bread?..

But today I baked a wholemeal seedy loaf AND a batch of 20 choc chip, raisin and oat cookies. And jolly yummy they are too :p:D

This little beauty. I decided to make Dan Lepard's Milk Bread and it is very tasty too. It looks like Supermarkets are looosing my trade!!!!
Second Loaf this week, I earlier made my regular little
101 cookbooks 'very easy loaf' a wholemeal loaf earlier on.

    Today I made:

    bakewell tarlets
date and ginger malt loaf (new recipe, very tasty)
    cheese and onion bread
    white rolls

And I covered my birthday cake in fondant (baked and crumbcoated yesterday) and started decorating it, need to finish it off tomorrow when DD has made the roses)

  • Loaf of bread
    2 tea loaves
7 fruit crumbles for the freezer

peachyprice can you share the recipe for the date and ginger malt loaf?
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.
  • Nigella's chocolate banana muffins and her blueberry muffins, I love any recipe which doesn't involve creaming butter and sugar!
  • Soda bread. Lorraine Pascale's recipe. Lush :)
  • Not a big day on the baking front (which is unusual for a Sunday) but I did make Coconut Cream pie which was deemed a massive success by those who ate it in a disgracefully short period of time.

    Recipe here

I suspect I may be making this one over and over!

I haven't been on here for AGES but am sneaking in to report that I have been busy today, making
bolognese for later in the week
lamb & flageolet beans for the freezer
flapjack - vast quantities involving 1lb of oats
    Delia's oat & raisin crunchies
as well as roast pork and mashed potato for dinner this evening.
Tired now but I can have a cup of tea and a flapjack!
