I'm glad I dipped into this thread, you've inspired me to find a way out of my laziness - I think I could find 1/2hr of happiness baking this evening

Not strictly oven based because I don't know if I attempt to use it to make my next batches of Very Easy Wholemeal Bread and Dan Lepards sublime White Milk Loaf, but I successfully microwave poached my first ever egg to plonk on some Oatilicious Toast.
Oatilicous deteriorates ever so quickly so beware. My own loafs keep fine for a week in foil.
My cooker has been tripping aggggh when I try to put one of my main rings on agggggh.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Like Lucylollipop I have been busy in the kitchen. This weekend I have made:
2 batches of chocolate cookies
a dozen teacakes
a lemon drizzle cake
18 currant cups
6 jam tarts to use up the pastry
a meat and potato pie
and a batch of bread rolls.
I caught my son with 4 biscuits in his hand last night (Ok they are small but still..) so I suspect it wont last long.
Lucylema - have you got or could you afford to buy a food processor? Doesnt have to be a mega expensive one but it makes life easier if you are making cakes and pastry.0 -
