I made my first ever batch of famous Twinks today. Ate one as they were cooling and am impressed - have hidden them in a tin now! Also made cheese straws to use up some pre-grated cheese I bought a while ago to make quiche so think I'll be popular when DH gets home!0

been to the "Pick your own" strawberry fields today and ate way too many strawberries. _pale_
But made a lovely strawberry pavlova for tea.
not sure with the rest think just will probably eat them out of the punnet like the others!

I'm a bit peckish so I've just whipped up a batch of Oat Dreams biscuits. they are baking as we speak.
I've no idea where the recipe first came from, but its:
4oz self raising,
4oz marg, eg stork,
2oz caster sugar,
2oz oats. (I've just used 4 by mistake)
Mix everything together, or you can cream the marg and sugar first. Makes no odds.
Make into balls, about walnut size, then put on a greased baking tray. flatten them slightly.
Bake at 180 C for around 15 mins. Less if you have a fan oven. They should be ever so slightly golden.
