    At home I made scones.

I want to make scones today and looked on Google for a simple recipe. Loads came up but one recipe said I needed an egg and one said I didn't. Which is best? Has anyone got a failsafe sultana scone recipe I can use?

    Cheers, Birdy

I use this recipe (with or without sultanas) but I reduce the milk to 200ml, otherwise it's far too wet.

    Hiya

I use the scone recipes here : http://www.scotlands-enchanting-kingdom.com/best-scone-recipes.html I add the milk a little at a time - sometimes I use it all, sometimes I dont. The scones always go down well at work :)

I have just taken a fruit cake made with Spelt flour out of the oven. Smells lovely, but I MUST leave it a few more minutes to cool........

    Regards,

Do you have a recipe for the rhubarb cruble crunch? Is it just like a normal crumble or is it a cake or biscuit or something? I have a bag of rhubarb in my freezer that I need to do something with!

    Nope!

When I'm busy I'll use my breadmaker and when I'm in a really bad mood, I make it by hand as the kneading is good stress relief!:D

I made bread yesterday - regular white bread with poppy seeds. Also made some chocolate cupcakes and a veggie quiche today.

Yesterday I made flatbreads, lovely white bread (I left it to prove slowly for hours and the flavour is amazing). Today I have baked cheese and mustard scones and I've now got lemon curd muffins in the oven :)
